Thats a tough one,have had blueticks all my life,but have had plotts now for the last 6 years,blues are colder nosed i believe,but plotts are a better all around bear dog for sure.
I like Plotts, we have a good walker also, If I had to pick one it would be a Plott. I have seen good in all breeds, A good hard hunter with some time can make a ok hound look real good. A working guy with a young family has a harder time making good hounds.
i also think plott do a nice job but my problem with them is i cant hear them like i can hear my walkers. in my area also they dont seem to have the stamina in the rough terrain. thet are a bit more gritty then my dogs but its ok with me cause i cant afford the vet either. most of all i think each breed has some that stand out all the rest is owner prefrence!
