thats what it used to mean ,,everythings a changing nowdays..

i remember a redtic hound a friend had that would stay on his track to the end even if your dog was treed 10 ft from him if his coon went by your dog,,this dog had a voice that would pull 9 out of 10 dogs off a tree if he got close to them ,he run a track like he was looking at it ,,he would get mad at me for not split treeing my dog till his dog throwed his locate on his separt tree,,once old red throwed that locate it was safe to tree your dog as he mellowed out some ,,lol,,only dog i hated to draw out with,,someone finally offered him enough money and the dog left the area and was finneshed to grand nite in a short time

I agree with you 100% in your statements!! I was not the judge on that cast the night it happened ,But I can tell you it wont happen again all judges in our club have been told not to let it happen SCRATCH the dog & handler...But you are right wildbill you cant let it go on .

4 dog cast finished scoring last tree hunt time expired.handlers leaving tree 1 falls causing 2 dogs to get together fight breaks out judge fails to scratch dogs ? put on card brought back to MOH who scratchs both dogs per rule 6b formal complaint made panel formed after long disscussion pannel upheld MOH couple weeks pass MOH receives letter from UKC Allen Gingerich that HE was over ruling MOH said nothing about panel. HE determined handler to be agresser everybody on cast said we had dog FIGHT my understanding was dog fighting = scratch. now what if i step on dog foot he thinks your dog did it cause he is beside him fight breaks out cant scratch cause i am agresser another sitation getting ready to cut my dog wont get off tailgate i jerk him off into another dog guess what happens. etc

life is way too short and I've culled some pretty fair dogs over the years for being mean whether its on the tree, in the dog box or where ever..
