I have never fished the pond at the club, but please keep us up to date on the local strippers.

Posted by Lakeland Kennel on 03-25-2010 12:20 PM:

I don't know much about the strippers but but I am learning about the stripers. Mark, I knew that message would catch you and Kevin P's eyes.

I reckon down by the pond could be a place to take a local stripper but I really wouldn't know much about it. LOL.

I buy a lot of stuff at the Catfish Connection (Pana Bait). They sent me a catalog in January. I can't go by their store without stopping and spending a bunch.

70 degrees next week. I will be doing a lot of fishing, gardening, and putting in some replacement fruit trees. Yeah, I will probably turn loose some dogs also

The dogwoods behing the club house will be blooming before you know it. Then, the crappie will be biting where everyone can catch them. Those boys with the quick tree dogs can get circled instead of minus points.

Got what i call a river rat boat, 18ft. jon with a allu. cabin on it. Fishing in the rain.

Posted by Rex W Sims on 04-07-2010 02:23 AM:

I could have used that yesterday..instead of running to the boat ramp to beat the storm....

how the heck do you keep them on your hook

Posted by Rex W Sims on 04-07-2010 09:31 AM:

I hook the gut through the gizzard..they are tuff as hell...the lumber yard sent me the wrong bi -fold closet door..there went my inside work for today..going to rain most of the day..so no fishing...going to take the 45 min.drive to Gander mt. to pick up a few items..10 gauge turkey loads for sure...deepth finder and a 160 Gunnison spin cast reel for a friend ...khale hooks ,some 243 rounds...and eat a few shrimp at Red Lobster for lunch..

Here are a few I caught a couple of days ago.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHyOMguT90U

I had to deliver a dog yesterday.

Mark, I used to run bank poles river rat style on the river not too far from your house years ago. I haven't set out bank poles in years, it is too easy to catch them on a rod and reel these days.

I won't have time to fish for a few days, it is past Good Friday and I don't have my taters, onions, and lettuce in yet. And, I have to get the mower ready. No rest for the weary. LOL.

Mark, that big white English you judged on the bench has been tearing them up in West Virginia competition hunts.

Gander mountain..wow..had not been there in a few years....won't go back...had 5 items on my list [from their catalog] they didn't have one single item on my list..sorry to say the staff didn't know their[ you know what ]from a hole in the ground..but they sure tried to get me to buy stuff i didn't want..it was pretty sad when you ask for a box of 10 gauge 3 1/2 Winchester supreme number 5 shot .2 ounce turkey loads and the "doesn't know his you know what from a hole in the ground"..spends 15 min.'s trying to sell me 10 gauge steel shot water fowl shells telling me these shells are just as good as the turkey loads and will pattern just the same as the turkey loads... .now I may have fallin of the turnip wagon ,but it wasn't yesterday.... after 45 min.'s of them trying to sell me stuff I didn't want I told them to stick it in what they dont know from a hole in the ground....... from now on Cabels or Bass Pro....they can have the G. Mountain......the hell of it is I called before making the 45 min. drive ,they assured me they had 4 of my 5 items ...in stock..they lie...

Yep it's 30 min from me. Def not worth the drive. I'd rather just order every thing I want. And in three days it's on my door step.
