I know Randy! I think I may venture out to Ohio next weekend if we get another blast Monday or Tuesday night! Those guys on the PA thread who live up by NY are talking about hunting every night. Some snow has melted off here this weekend. I think I'm gonna give it a try tonight.

Randy, do you think much will be melted off by Beaver Falls RQE time? I know we have a hunt here at our club the weekend before that. I might have to break out the snow shoes for that hunt! LOL

I think coon are moving in this along the creeks, but it's some real rough walking through snow up to your knees in some of these hills! LOL

Randy Tallon, JCULLER8, or any of you other fella's want to hunt you are more than welcome to come up and hunt with us. We are about 2 hrs. and 15 minutes North East of Erie, Pa. 3 hrs. from Grove City, Pa. and 2 hrs. 45 minutes from Andover, Ohio. My sister and brother in law came up from Grove City today and said it's pretty bad when you gotta come north to get away from the snow! If you feel like it is worth driving for though just call ahead of time and we will always accomodate coon hunters! We have lots of ground to hunt and plenty of coon and only about 3-4 inches of snow and it's melting!!!!!! Also we are having a ACHA hunt up here March 27 and you all are welcome to that also. Call any time 585 808-4903

Even though I tend to not put my faith in the local weather forecasters because it seems my guess is as good as theirs, I decided to stay in tonight. It warmed up in the 40's today and some more snow melted. I bet we have about 8-10 inches left. The weather man... WPXI, Randy you know who I'm talking about! Said it's supposed to be in the 40s and raining tomorrow with a light dusting later in the week. I would imagine this big layer we have now will be gone tomorrow, or pretty close to being gone. I'm gonna wait until tomorrow night to go. No use cutting the dogs feet all up on 1 night! Plus, I figured I'd get to watch the US hockey game, but just realized we'd only get to watch the LAST 60 SECONDS! STUPID NBC!!!! I sat here and watched stupid figure skating instead! GLAD to see US WON 5-3 though!!!!! hahaha!

Shawn, even though our snow is less and less each day, I still would like to take you up on that offer! If not this spring, I'm off work through the summer and might just come up when we don't have baseball games for a couple days!

Brian, same goes up on your offer! It sounds like you are in NY? I've never hunted in NY, would like to give it a try! Thanks for the offer. Same goes for you!

We have a big hunt at our club coming up 3rd Saturday in May. You guys should try and make plans to come down! It is called the Little Mountain Music Hunt, Blairsville, Pa. We usually hunt about 80 dogs. A NICE dog box is raffled of to ALL show entrants and ALL nite hunt entrants. So 2 boxes are given away. I also believe top 10 nite hunt winners get a Blazer 21 Tiny box light. All kinds of other things are raffled off and it's a good time! I can shack a few people up at my house if ya get ahold of me! I know my buddy Wes comes from Ohio every year. He comes usually Wed or Thur and we hunt all week!

I was figuring the same thing. I doubt if ours will be gone, but, I'm going to toss 'em out atleast once and see how the feet do.
Brian - Grove City is north of me and that's the area I'm going to give a shot tomorrow because they have less than us. Appreciate the offer and might just take you up on it.

Jculler8, I have planned on making that little mountain music hunt but never have yet, maybe this year we will hit it because it sounds like a good time. We take our spring gobbler hunting pretty serious but we might have to make an exception this year. Like I said earlier, any time you guys from Pa., Oh., or wherever want to come up for a hunt you are always welcome! I used to hunt Ohio quite often but my ol' huntin buddy passed on a couple years ago, I want to start getting back out there and eventually get located out there. I sold a female puppy to a fella by the name of Bill Johnston from Somerset, Pa. back in the late fall and he invited me out there also and I think I will head out that way some weekend. Have you guys ever hunted out his way? Where we live you have every type of terrain from darn steep hills to flat river valleys and I bow hunted in Donegal, Pa. years ago and man was it ever steep there! I made a vow to the man above to never shoot a buck at the bottom of a mountain again!!! Well anyway, have a good one and good luck huntin

Going to hit it tonight in i think they said we got 48 inches of snow or more so far. It's the 8th most in history or something. Oh well their comes a time when cabin fever sets in and instead getting lock up in the looney bin better go out and tuff it out. Like Two toes said our dogs got to be use to this or they don't get to hunt for awhile.
