Hey boys, I was on the HSUS web site there was a E- Mail address and a phone number to contact this MEGAN SEWELL, she wants all bad hound hunting stories and photos of emancipated dogs. Lets flood her phone and E-Mail with the right stuff for hound hunting. Be smart and use your head and do the right thing. Do not give her info she will use against us. Lets just flood her office and make tomorow misrable for her.

Not that I am arguing but can you please show me proof of that? after a little searching I have seen 0 about this? If there is no black and white proof of this then this becomes exactly what I was originally talking about as far things just being said for the sake of saying it? I know they have joined together to (and I say this loosely) Help against certain causes!

Well guys I sent that woman an e-mail. I sure hope I got my point across. I tried to be calm and not say anything that could ad fuel to there fire. Sure hope you all will send her an e-mail. Maybe if we flood her computer it will ruin her day tomorow.

Did you read the part about how we treat our dogs, we do not take them to the vet. We let the stand in ther kennel in ther own waste 4" + deep. WE would rather shoot them or abandon them than get the medical attention.

Come on guys lets get this ball rolling everyone e-mail this woman and keep at it till she has to get another e-mail address cause hers is so full. But be sensible about what you say do not give them any fuel for the fire. They are really targetting the bear hunters and deer hunters and want to help advise people how to and who to write to. They want to stop hound hunting for bears in your state. Look it up on her web site. We all need to wake up or it will be to late.

I just got an E-mail response from Megan Sewell of HSUS she was on the defense from the start. I mailed back again. But I was surprised she mailed me in the first place.

Thanks martin, if you read my posts above I did see the video and commented on it. When I first looked (the minute this thread was listed) I did not see anything on there sight. What pisses me off is that some jackass actually provided video for there actions. (I dont mean they sent it in, they probably nabbed it off utube or something) Not the hunting part, I didnt really see anything that was wrong or bad there. The hounds in the woods looked pretty good actually. The part with the guy whipping the dog in the back of the truck for no apparent reason was exactly what we do not need to portray. You look hard enough then you will find anything negative about anyone. The problem is they have a huge voice and we have had none (comparatively speaking of course) We definitely need to educate people. This is what these hounds were born to do and most are great physical specimines because of it. Most of our hounds are in better shape and treated better then any house pet. I am extremely supprised that she responded. I am going to have some time this afternoon so I will be sending and email to her. I will try to be very tactful, honest, and polite......For now! (not my forte')

I dont belive the video was provided for them it was confiscated during a poaching bust. The videos been out for 5 yrs or so but they will use it as much as they can.

Since HSUS and PETA both like to play on the uninformed public's emotions so much, maybe that's a method we should use. If anyone has any heartwarming, emotional stories about your hounds, I'd really appreciate it if you would share them with me for my answer to HSUS's stance on hound hunting. Like I said earlier, I write the monthly Your Dog, Your Rights column for Coonhound Bloodlines. I'd really love your help at putting something out there.

i havent gotten one back yet either. but i do have one question.....why doesnt one of the big hound orginazations have a write up and do a video to counter theirs? show them what true houndsmen are, how they treat there dogs and fellow hunters. im a very small fish but i would help anyway i could. time to fight back!

She has e-mailed me twice now, but I have been polite as I could be, I do not want to ad fuel for there fire.

She will not answer me as to why if they only want the bad apples stopped, why they are calling for the end of all hound hunting.

REXROAD, good ideas keep after her. And contact Sara at UKC

ALSO, I believe she has been monitoring this site, due to several things she said in her E-mail. So also keep posting on here and encourage all to do it. It has my BP up.

Well I have gotten my third e-mail from " Megan Sewell " she says that I am the only one who has contacted her, and that the ones who say she dose not respond to them is due to you not e-mailing her.

im going to e-mail her as soon as i get home and would like get someone to put a slide show together of really healthy looking dogs and their owners and some pictures of pens that are really nice and would also like pictures of off the ground pens to shjow how much we really do care for our dogs and maybe we could get a couple vets to show how well we take care of our dogs

I live in rural Kansas where hunting and traping has been part of
tradion since the beginning of time. People hunted and consumed the meat to survive. If not they would have starved to death.

We have 4-H Youth Shooting Sports. Events and activites include
training the youth on gun/archery safety and marksmanship. Shooting contest consist at the county, area, state and national levels. Most of the youth will participate in some hunting activities. Wildlife biologist and 4-H Leaders across the state have conducted trapping and coon hunting with hounds training for youth here in Kansas. We certainly hope the hunting priviledge is maintained so these youth can pass on the hunting tradition for generations.

State wildlife departments promote hunting to assist in the control of over population of wild animals. I assist farmers in the area of wildlife damage control. Many farmers have had issues of geese, deer, trukeys, farrow hogs and other wildlife eating crops. Racoon damage to gardens, grain stortage areas, equipment and even their homes have resulted in rural america.

HSUS is just not attacking animal agriculture and hunting but their attacking an american heritage and tradition. There is no reason for anyone that eats a hamburger, a deer steak or chicken wing to attempt to reason with most that support HSUS.

Please let me know how many $$$ was collected by HSUS on the Katrina campaign and how many $$$ was actually sent back to New Orleans. This was after the state threatened the law suit. If you really want to know the cause your working for let america really know where there money isactually going.

The HSUS and PETA types support Obama. Obama give a czar position to a idiot that thinks animals should be able to sue humans in court, hunting should be banned, and eating meat slowly phased out of our society.

I am against Animal neglect as much as anybody. But these radicals are dangerous and have no common sense.

To even remotely support them is insane.
