-- Albino Coon Mount? (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=328160)

I don't think $500 would be a bad price for a good mount. I had one mounted last year and it costed me $400 to get it done.

He had pink eyes.....

He was soaking wet and dirty in that picture, but it was definetly Albino.
cheap way to get a white one is have a cinnimon coon mounted with pink eyes in it and set it in the window where the sun win catch it and it will fade out ..
a friend had a regular coon sitting in his window and it faded out on him.looked like a white coon with regular eyes....]
WILDBILL, Sorry the photo angle makes it look funny. Does this angle of photo help you see it's a COON!!

I live in IL and have never understood the reasoning behind the law that prohibits killing albino animals. It is an undesirable trait and you would think that dhr would want them killed so as to not pass along the trait to offspring.

But, I'm just a dumb redneck who hasn't been learned in that sort of education...LOL! But seriously if anyone knows the reason for such a law please enlighten me!

i can see that its a coon in these pictures but whoever mounted it ,didnt use the right form or didnt know how to putty up the form to make it fit right..
heres a picture of a couple coon i used to have,,the white one is a true albino, like yours, pink eyes/pink nose/pink toenails and no rings or mask.

Re: Albino Coon Mount?

i killed this 1 in 1996,with 2 of the finest walkers hounds i ve ever owned,{copper & jawbone},you wanna talk about listening to a real corn feild race this coon could flat haul the mail, they were runnin to catch this one,i rember it like it was yesterday, they ran him for over 10 minutes,he ran from one side of the feild to the other, and around an around this coon didnt wanna climb, they,d almost caught him a couple times, finally he climbed on a telephone pole right at the road, its what ive just always called a yellow coon,he has pink eyes, nose,an feet,no mask or rings, ive also killed a snow white 1,an have a pure black one in the freezer right now,
