Your thread kinda got hijacked.

The pups are nice!

Did you ever hunt with Nate Mosier out of Cardington? He's my DH's cousin and he's out of it now but used to go out a lot and he went out with us first time we wanted to learn about comp hunting.

He took us out with a nice walker female he said she would act like she was gonna tree to get my black dog to tree on a slick, then she would move on and tree the coon.

She tried to do just that, but our hound likes to do his own thing and unusual for him to slick tree, so he did not fall for it, and Nate thought he would make a pretty decent comp dog! That's how we got started in it!

See you friday night at millwood Brian.

I'm glad you have had a change of heart since those dayd Justin.

Spider eyes? Goon one, that's exactly what was crawling all over the tree. Actually it was in the middle of the summer time and my dog was on a reasonable sized oak tree. It was on the very edge of the woods and the field was planted with beans. Easy to get back off the tree and shine right? They both had there dogs on the leash so I could squall. My first squall I let out it just starred at me. I called them over and they both said they didn't see it, often it is hard to see a coons eyes unless you are directly in the beam of the light. I asked the judge to hold my light and look. He did and still didn't see it, at this point I know he isn't wanting to see it so I walked under the tree and pulled some limbs, and beat on the tree and pulled my dog off so it would look again. Went out in the field again and it was crawling all over the tree. It was a kitten coon I got my spotlight out and could see the whole thing plain as daylight crawliing all over while I was squalling, he wanted to come down but wouldn't because we were there. They stood there for 9 minutes saying they didn't see a coon that was looking and crawling all over that oak tree.

Then once the time was over Justin replies oh now I see it. I didn't say a word until we got back to the trucks. I asked that judge to see the scorecard and he had circled it. I told him he had seen it. he replied the shine time was over.
