Got to be kidding me. Not to youre resoonse RIP. To this whole ordeal. It has it's hidden agenda deep within it's roots of "salvation". I can't believe this many people get sucked IN.

treberta you are sadly misinformed. No where in masonry is there any mention of salvation through the lodge or the order.

Oh boy here we go....a non-mason telling masons what goes on in the Lodge as if he actually knows.....

Anyone and I repeat anyone who actually knows what goes on within the Masonic Fraternity will tell you it is one of the best organizations in the world. Yet it is those "that through ignorance will ridicule it."

If you are not a Mason then you know absolutely nothing about it.

The only thing we keep secret is how we tell one another apart and who we help.

It's none of anybody's business who we assist with their bills etc.

It wouldn't be good if someone could fake being a Mason in order to take advantage of the way Masons take care of one another (in other words a con artist would love to be able to try and swindle money if they could).

You just don't have a clue, so much so that you can't even see in your attempts to be "in the know" you show exactly how much you don't know LOL.

heres a few things not so secret:

We privately fund and run many orphanages that meet and exceed govt. standards

Our esteemed brethern the Shriners run charitable hospitals that provide care to many people especially CHILDREN that otherwise could not get that care!!

It really isnt a secret we just swear that we wont tell what goes on. There is a saying that we are not a secret society but a society with secrets. I guess you are wondering why are they(we) getting offended by your posts well it goes the same way as if I was to tell people on here that you sell drugs or whatever at your house. Would that not offend you? Well when people tell me that masons are satanists or has a secret agenda it offends me. My lodge had poen installation this past monday and a few people at work had been telling me the same thing so I invited them to come and watch and then tell me what they think. Well they all said they were sorry and one of them asked how could they become involved So what im trying to say is dont throw rocks when you live in a glass house.

You won't know unless you are found worthy of becoming a Mason.

Sorry, but we have to protect ourselves from scam artists.

You must believe in God to become a Mason, whatever you call God. I believe in other countries that may be other names but since I haven't been in a lodge in those countries I am not sure. I do know that for my lodge that is God as in God the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

If you have no belief in a higher power that could hold you accountable for your actions, then what is to keep you true to your word when it might be more physically or financially profitable to break your word? Accountability is pretty important in a community that teaches charity and moral obligation.

It's not a religion so I can see how it could translate to those other countries that call God a different name.

My Brother, I plan to join the Shriners next year, after I finish my year in the East. This year I am focusing all my attention to the Blue Lodge.
I am proud to be a Mason, and have seen many good things from our lodge, I remember last year, when we found out that a little girl in our County had Cancer, and the parents were going broke taking her from Hospital to Hospital, and staying in Hotel rooms, everyone pitched in and we had a fish fry, the money we made went to the parents to help them out during this trajic time with their daughtor. We do this sort of thing often.
The parents of the girl were not afiliated with the Masonic Lodge, and we helped them, the best we could.
Throughout the history of our Country, some of our finest men were Masons, Its a Brotherhood, and Im all for it.

I did not mean for this to turn into a free fall . I was just looking for my brothers . A wise man once told me if you don't have nothing good to say ,just don't talk. I love being a Mason and I believe in God , I believed in god long before I became a Mason. I am very sorry for you that don't believe in him and I will pray for you. If I have offend anyone then thats fine with me , cause if you got offend by what I have said on here in this post , then you need to stop, listen ,and look around , then look up. the person that made all that possible will be looking back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let the one true GOD, the only everlasting father "judge". He does not judge based upon past family and past decisions like masons. Any man can be saved through him! ANY MAN not only those with a supreme family background. You guys need to wake up before it's too late.

Merry Christmas all. Maybe through this years Christmas you all will ralize the one true meaning of Christmas.

I can "donate" all my time and money that I have and still go to hell. Only those that ask GOD for forgivness will recieve everlasting salvation.

Nobody here said the Masonic Lodge was a religion or that it would get you to Heaven, to the contrary I have stated more than once that it is NOT a religion, only a charitable fraternity based on good morals. That's all it is.
