We all understand that coons run in holes, brush piles. etc.. But it should not matter if the dog on a tree or not!!!!!!!! He should have 5 minutes to tree his dog no matter if the dog is on a tree or not.

I AGREE!! Not only that rule but my freind was on cast about a month ago and he said they went to the same tree to get the dogs 7 times!! with no penalty!!

Yep that's a joke as well. All that is doing is penalizing everyone else in the cast because you would be walking away from youre dog just to go back to the same blasted dog everytime. It's very aggervating. If my dog went back to the same tree 3 times I would scratch myself because there's no excuse for that. I have no problem when people bring a un-finished dog to a hunt EXCEPT when they cost me points as well as other cast memebrs.

The stationary rule is only a scratch if it is a tree, nothing else.

On that note, if you went to the beaver dam during hunt time you COULD have scored it accordingly because you don't have to tree a dog in at a place of refuge to score it so the judge could have got more circle or even plus if you could have seen it if he had just went and looked.

RIP couldnt have explained this any better. If its a place of refuge go score it.
