You can rest assured that I spoke up. The original point I made was that those issues do not arise on squirrel hunting casts nearly as often as on a coon hunting cast. BUT, THAT IS SLOWING CHANGING. A quick glance at some of the squirrel hunting message boards will let you know why.

never have been to a squirrell hunt. i wasn't trying to find fault with your response, although it could have been taken that way. i apologize if it was . I simply wanted to state that we as coon hunters have a duty to ensure that we treat all with respect, and expect the same. state our cases with in the rules, which cover all aspects of questions in civil like fashion, or we must use the rules to weed out the bad. I would bet, that idf more hunters went to the woods well armed with manners and rule knowledge, we would have almost no problems what so ever in our hunts. The poor MOH would be like the may tag repair guy. lonely with nothing to do. as an MOH, i like that idea. lol

Robert, I agree with what youre saying but there are so many dis-honest coonhunters.

One example my dog was treed and the judge refused to hear him. He put the two minutes on me and I looked him straight in the eye and told him to stop cheating and to be honest with himself and to me. It did not work, however I questioned it and another cast member said he could hear my dog plain as day so I won it. See the problem with coonhunting is many don't work; Some by choice and others bad luck. Lets face the facts, do we really expect people to scrap there money together for entry fees, gas, food, and drive an hour one way and be honest when it comes to voting on a call that would hurt their chance of winning? ? ? Well i think we all know the answer. Nothing you or I can do to make someone not cheat.

Will this show ever reach DirecTV? I would like to watch it as well.

Oh yeah...those who were bashing Walkers earlier need to look at the past World Champions list. I'd say it is well over 90% Walkers. Keep in mind that these World Hunts have multiple non-hunting judges on the casts scoring whether there are coons in the trees or not.

For now, the plan will be to continue with ICTV, who will be adding DirecTV to their distribution in January. Like DishNetwork, it will be on the basic subscription.

Happy Hunting!

I have only been able to catch a part of the most recent show,I saw the segment on the beagle hunting rabbits.I wish I could have seen the others as well. With that being said I hunt different breeds of dogs for their respective game for my enjoyment.20+ years (competition and pleasure) and the good times far outweigh the bad.Life is far too short to worry about how or why some people act the way they do and how they hunt.I don't care what kind of dog it is,if it gets the job done is what counts. In closing thanks to the staff at Tailgate Adventures for going out on a limb and exposing the public to these dogs and the hunting styles so many of us enjoy. My 2 boys and I enjoy them all!.Canadian Curs (coon and squirrel) English & Bluetick (coon),Lab & Vizla (pheasant and waterfowl) Staghounds & Trailhounds (coyote) Good Huntin "deamon"

why do comp hunts seem like a joke

i think they are a joke half the guys want to lie to make there dog look good everyone has breed the nose and natrual ability out of these hounds i get minus or scratched if my dog winds a coon don't be mad at me if my dog has more brains then the other guys dog i think if my dog has a coon it should be plus points regardless of how he treed it fine don't give me track points just give me tree points!
