13 Different States and 4 different breeds of hounds.......Coon dont come easy in these hills ......They have to be able to hunt out and be able to tree lay-ups and cold tracks........And the laurels can give them a fit if they ve never hunted in them...............They are calling for Rain starting tonight and thru the weekend.......Chris

Bruno is a coon dog. Don't care how thick the coon are, when he hits a track no matter if it is hot or cold he will have the coon in the tree you can look at.

Well my guess is you haven't hunted with many walkers then.

Ive personally owned several and can't count on 1 hand how many i know of. Ive came across way to many to remember at the hunts but i hunt in 2 a week. UKC and mainly PKC.

Walkers have the coldest nose of any breed. Think im wrong?? Prove it.

I was raised on the old Finley river Cheif that was cold nose dogs. Now day they are not as cold nose. That is what I was saying. Don't have to get a attitude. I hunted walkers all my life except couple english.

I dont think walking a track means they have a cold nose, it just means they dont have the sence to pick it up and go with it.
Thin coons means a hound has to do two things.
# 1 go Hunting
# 2 find a coon and tree him layed up! On the ground or been on the ground feeding, jump him and run him to a tree, stand and tree like hes got the last one on earth untill handler gets there

are you 12 or something ,is that all you have to do is go around starting stuff,i have all walker and been doing this coon huning thing for 26 years ,and i still learn new things all the time about hounds ,but it sounds like you know everything ,good for you wish i knew everything there is too know about coonhunting and hounds
