DANG ARE THERE ENOUGH "OUTLETS" FOR ALL THOSE PUPS TO DRINK FROM?

Posted by Majestic Tree H on 09-01-2009 05:08 PM:

Chuck its amazing .. The pups have already Started Shifts of feeding .. These are very large pups even for my litters much less 17 !! If the pups were any larger she would have had a even tougher time then she had..

She just ate 12 scrambled eggs lightly cooked with 1-1/2 cups of grated cheader Cheese ..

I went thru a Uterin Infection with the Dam that had 17 pups .. I ended up loosing 4 .. The other 13 are doing great, over a week old now.. The Dam went down real quick ... But Anitbiotics and Super Rich "Satin Balls" brought her right back up in 3 days ..

Besides doing some bottle feeding and moving the pups around to my other 2 nursing Females they did fine except the very weekest 4 ..

Looking Good Steve!

Funny about the markings. Will be interesting to see them grow up and change etc!
Just saw the pup pix on your other thread...was too lazy to reply. LOVE the Blue eyed pup despite not caring for blue eyed hounds....NICE head shape! The other wasn't too shabby either...

Glad the pups and Mom are doing well again, Heather

Heather I'm totaly confused on those Blue Eyes !! That Pup is 4 different Breeds .. All I can say is the Genetic Trates are very Strong .. I just Wish we had the DNA Capable of tracking Genetics thru the different Lines .. Mountain Music Blue had quite a few pups with Blue Eyes I have Found out..

The old throw backs. Our AKC BnT(showdawg style) has BRIGHT yellow eyes... after years of being bred out...it popped back up in him. We like HIS eyes...but he's a pet so WHO cares if they are red, yellow, blue green....?We love the fact they FRIGHTEN people even more than the BnT color and his always up "hackles" he has a ridge on his neck... I don't mind blue eyes in huskies...LOL... but they are spooky. With the heads YOUR dawgs end up with it'll be FINE... since they will be so HOUNDIE. Not so scary!
Genetics is a FASCINATING thing. I LOBED to deal with it with my parakeets... COOL stuff. If I were breeding dawgs I'd drive myself insane with research(more insane that is ) I can see you love to research and learn etc as well...
Eye color in HUMANS is darned cool too! I am an eye person and LOVE blue eyes in humans... Bob's are perfect Mine are dark brown... I have "hound eyes" according to an old coonhunting friend... LOL, Heather

WELCOME BACK! TAKE it EASY! My brain and fingers NEVER work in conjunction! LOL... Seriously, glad all is well but don't push it. Blu will be HAPPY once he can bounce all over you. They DO KNOW when we're not 100% don't they?

Take care, Heather

Healing thoughts and prayers coming your way daily! I am starting PT this Tues... some recurring issues in my soft tissue around the spine and hips since I DID hit a truck... I have gone thru PT lots since 1997... and this time...we'll be working on "massaging" out the knots in my muscles... then exercise...lots of exercise... I will indeed feel as though I ran right back into the side of that truck! I Love PT and Love exercise but having fatigue syndrome since my accident I'm likely to be even more brain dead than ever...LOL.. SO, Chuck, as I spend some time at PT I'll be sending thoughts your way... I feel so fortunate to be ALIVE that I tend to not care too much if I have a problem, feel sick or hurt but I SURE DO care about others not feeling 100%!

Glad to hear that each day gets BETTER...That is a GOOD thing!
Take care, Heather
