I've recently talked to a couple guys who live in that area and hunt out of the local clubs down there. Both told me there would be a lot of bucket hunting going on. The way the world is set up I believe if you win your cast you move on so at least all the dogs will be on a level playing field. Am I right about win your cast and advance??

It will all depend on the guides. Theres some ruff nasty hills around here, but theres also alot of flat easy hill around here also. Some guides take people to the hills on wild coons. Others will take you to a creek with feeders. You just won't know untill it's time to hunt. Good luck to everyone huntting in it this year. I'll be watching from the side lines.

she always has the meat and will go until treed and stay there til the sun comes up.

dogs will have to get deeper than that. but ive hunted bout every spot they are guiding to and there aint no straight up for 5 min. well not to me but im used to it anyhow. lol.

and on the delbert comment i dont think they are even hunting alot right now. so im bettin not him

Winning the WORLD hunt and you win it off of hunting buckets and feeders? WOW didn't know that was even know that was an option! Put the hunt in about January or February when the leaves are off the tree? That way you know you have a real coondog and one that can tree the harder coons in the winter!

The mini slam is on thursday but you probly will want to be early i got there about 3:30 last year and the line was long. they say they only take 100 but they take as many that have guides. Also looking in the book its 750 added.
