Is this going to get interesting.....or not? In my opinion, this years crop of three year olds was sub par going into the season. Now in the final week, there's even fewer sub par horses. Does this set up the opportunity for a Triple Crown Winner? I mean, if one of the only handful of horses left is anything at all, are the odds greater that we'll see a TC winner? In years where the field is wide open with legit contenders it's anybody's ball game and hard to win three in a row. But this is a mess and it sure looks like legitmate contenders are scarce. This might be the year we see three in a row. If we do, they should put an * in the record book that indicates "year with little talent".
