Get me a few pounds and I'll match that offer.

Yep!!

Found a bunch of little yellows and a couple little grays up on the hill behind the house today . The stinkin turkeys had been in to them and had gotten the big ones but I dug a bunch out of the leaves that they had left . I left a bunch more and will check them tommorrow to see if they get a little bigger and the birds don't get them. Got about 100 or a little more today .

they are

I always considered them a morel and according to research I have done it supports that. The ones in the picture are what are refered to as spikes. I can understand refering to them as peters as I have often heard of the spikes refered to as dog peckers. There were also a couple small grays that were in the bunch but not shown in the pic I posted. Mostly what we find close to home are the spikes, with some yellows, a few grays , and some good black ones mixed in occasionally. I think I refered to the pic as a bunch of little yellows but they are actually mostly spikes. If you look to the top of this photo on the far left you can see a couple small grays. I prefer the grays, and large yellows, but I'll take the spikes when thats whats up.
