that's a big ol' coon Ben. We get one or two every year around the 30# mark. Folks from down south don't believe it.
I shot one three years ago from the top of a big old white pine. All I had to shoot at was an eye. when it fell out I thought I had accidentally shot a bear. Branches were breaking all the way down, it sounded like a 100 pound feed bag hitting the ground. Never weighed the coon but it was the biggest one I ever shot. I'd guess he was pushing 40#.
I live up in Onaway, what part of Michigan are you from?
