The rules say you gotta wait the 5 unless ALL dogs are treed. In a one dog cast if the 1 dog is treed then thats ALL dogs. I agree thats a hard to believe score. Im not saying it didnt happen cuz I wasnt there but the trees must have been close together and the coons mustve been staring dead at their hunting lights to score them that quick. Them coons mustve sure enough been ON THE MOVE!

Mine was 500+ 0- 0 circle. A buddy of mine score 600+ on a 1 hour PKC cast a few years ago with a redtick male.

anytime a dog is hunting alone it must hold tree for 5 minutes.

Ten 4. I just assumed that since all dogs were treed you didnt have to. I can sure see why they should have to tho for sure.

1300 Plus, No Minus, No Circle. With my Teddy male, this win made him a NITECH.
It was a 3-dog cast but when the other dogs weren't working well their handlers withdrew. They stayed with the cast though and we finished it. We did cut all the dogs afterwards and they went in and slammed a tree while mine split. We went to theirs first and a possom bailed out just as we got there. Went to mine and he had a coon sitting up high. Fun night.

High Score

1550 + at Walker Days in 1994. Two dog cast. No minus. Here's the kicker. I was fourth place nt. champion. Dog was Gr.Nt. Ch. Baumbach's Hot Socket. Scored over a 1,ooo with him numerous times.

1375+ and I gave away 4 first trees. The judge kept putting the stationary on me cause he wanted to score 2000. 3 dog cast

For those with ?? about the 2025+

All the trees where held for 5 min... We where hunting little patch woods and the coon where moving like ive never seen before... Every tree was no more than 100 yrds from the truck! Oh and it was fall (No leaves) Believe it or not makes no difference to me, but it was by the book and honest!

Brandon,

I can see me having a bad memory, but you are young enough you shouldn't have any issues.

It was not a one dog cast. It was a two dog cast, and I believe the score was higher than that. The other cast member was a young man from the Prescott area near Hale. He told me his dog backed ole Barker on every tree. So there wasn't the issue of waiting 5 minutes.

Gentlemen, the young man said it was nothing short of amazing. This same young man was at the show and hunt with his father, mother, and all of his sisters.

My top score I think was 875+.

875+ 0- 0 circle with GRWCH GRFCH GRNITECH GRCH 'PR' Lolly's Pocket Blue Rock when hunting as nitech several years ago. He probably won 15 nitech casts before getting that last win.

Posted by CX3 on 02-27-2009 04:00 PM:

Brandon, I can definitely see how a huge score can add up quickly under the right conditions. With a one dog cast, this score would easier then hunting with other dogs. If there were two or three dogs in cast, they would have to be me tooing son of a guns.

Completely believable.

I would have made a copy of that scorecard too and hung it on the clubhouse wall!

scored 575+ in an hour PKC hunt down here where there aren't coons up every tree

no other dog had a plus point that night
ol Mamma split 3 times with the groceries
not even close to some of the northern states scores, but pretty good in my neck of the woods when you aren't getting 125 for first tree

Posted by jculler8 on 02-27-2009 05:04 PM:

1175+ with my Belle bitch in a NITECH cast last June. (2 dog cast)
(Here's the card from it if you don't believe me lol) we scored on 6 coon and 1 circle.

and I scored 650+ on a NITECH caast last year at Walker Days with Forest's Hank dog.
