Prayers for Gussy, Tina, & family. I know how hard it is to lose a parent. May God be with you in this very trying time. Matt & Ashley Cruse

I don't know Gussy and Tima but I do know that God will comfort them during this time. It is never easy to watch a loved one slip slowly away. Just know that prayers are being said for the family and for Mom.

Tina and Gussy We are so sorry to hear about this and we will be keeping bothe of you up in prayer along with the rest of your family. Just try to remember that God has her in his hands no matter what the outcome. Like we said we will be keeping all up in prayer

UPDATE: Sat mornng 2-14-09

Shelby Allen finally slipped away this morning at 7:05 AM. For the first time since she'd been there all of the family members stepped outside the room while the nurses changed her sheets. Then, they were called back inside. It was almost like Shelby wanted to go in her own way and in her own time. Her family hadn't been away from her bedside in all these past few days.

Gussy had said 2 days ago she would wait until it was Valentine's Days. I guess he nailed it. I know her nurses have been very surprised at her hanging on this long. She was much loved by her children and friends and family.

I'll post arrangements when I hear.

I'm sorry to hear of her passing .

I introduced myself to Gussy last year at a hunt and was asking him about his "Allen" family, as we only live 40 miles apart and my wifes maiden name was Allen . He spoke of his mother then and was telling me of her being sick. So I know she was a big part of his life.

My thoughts and prayers, again go out to Gussy and Tina and their family.

And what more fitting of a day to pass than on Valentine's Day. Valentine’s Day is a day in which we honor our loved ones. Mrs. Allen was obviously loved by her family and they loved by her. Now each year on Valentine's while they remember each anniversary of her passing the Allen family can honor her memory with their love. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
