Walkers may be it but its not because of more of them..Its because the off breed handlers are looking for a way to get rid of the dog power right out of the gate!

Plotts, Walkers, Blueticks and English in that order. Black and Tans are just calm dogs that tree coons and lots of them. LOL!!!! Never heard of a Black dog getting Scratched for fighting. Im just kidding!!!!! Please don't throw any shoes at me

This is not going to end well.

After going thru the standards for all the dogs it seems the Plott and the Walker are the only ones that mention anything about being "courageous" or "vicious fighters on game" or "fearless".

Guess the rest of ya'll got lap dogs.

I'm kidding!

Once heard that Plotts don't start fights because of the tough guy he is he doesn't have anything to prove, but if another one jumps on him, he'll dang sure finish the fight. I know you can't say that there has never been a Plott that started a fight, but it's true with my dogs. Here's an example, had a stray come into my yard last year. My three young boys and I were out with my two dogs. The stray wasn't quite a stray, he had a collar and part of a chain that he had broke off draggin behind him. I called him over to see if there was a number on the collar. My male Plott was sitting right by me th whole time showing no aggression. When the dog approached me, he wasn't showing aggression either. I petted his head and everything seemed alright. Then I reached for his collar and out of nowhere he bit me. I hit him and my male hit him shoulder to shoulder, rolled him over, grabbed him by the throat and it was all over within a minute. By the way the stray outweighed my Plott by about 20-30 lbs. So obviously that Plott didn't start it but dang sure finished it!! Sometimes I think the dog that wins the fight gets in the most trouble whether he started it or not! (by the way there was no name or number on the collar, thank goodness!!)

how about a hunt were each breed sends 5 males and 5 females the hunt would last 4 weeks hunting north south east and west the hunt would be in the fall no leaves . do you think 1 breed will win year after year ?
