its a little tougher convinceing the owner of a top female that he needs to breed to your male. lol

if you get a top reproduceing female, she will throw good pups regardless what you breed her to. I dont think that is true of males.

yes i know, i have no facts to back up that last claim. but i believe it.

elvis,

I'd bet Lee Logan would agree with you.... Look at the stable full of top end reproducing females he has had over the years.

Logan's Wild Julie
Logans Wind Wendy
Logans Wild Jeanie...

The list goes on and on....sure, he's had a stud dog along the lines, but he's never strayed far from his reproducing females and he's never had to "look back".

My favorite is that she is a littermate to or younger sister to the great one & only"Bowser" !!

Family breeding & intimate knowledge of the line, deep back could make a difference but as a whole the mentality of "BROOD" female's can do more damage to our perspective breeds than they will good.

Just my 2 cents worth !

Think about this for a minute...

I live just south of Lexington, KY. Everyone knows about Lexington and horses. Last Sunday at a big horse sale, a BROOD mare sold for 14 million dollars!

I guess she was just a cull too...
