I believe...............THIS IS AMERICA!!!!!!! This country was founded on a CHRISTIAN concept. If you want muslim holidays....go live in a muslim country. If you want Mexican holidays.....go live in Mexico. Go to Somalia and ask for a permit to celibrate the 4th of July, Independance Day. What do you think is going to happen. In no way am I saying that you shouldn't be able to celebrate your personal beliefs. I grew up in a neighborhood with a heavy concentration of "old country" Italians. Never once did I hear them say that we should make San Rocco Day an American holiday. I'm of Irish decent. Is Saint Patrick's Day a national holiday? To undermine the AMERICAN way is...........UNAMERICAN. When we start caving in to illegal aliens and changing the concepts of what this country was founded on we have wasted the blood that was shed on many battlefields BY AMERICANS! The parent union and Tyson Foods dropped the ball on this one. I think it's time to throw some chicken in the harbor........

Where to start?

Where to start?

How often do you read about a town or city where thier displays for the Christmas Holidays are being challenged?

Wasn't it just a couple of years ago that what store clerks were suppose to wish you was Happy Holidays?

Wasn't a space in an airport set aside so Muslims could prey? (is it a typo or is it on purpose?)

Haven't we let some make it nearly impossible for our children to pray in our schools? (We are paying for those schools aren't we?)

Does the majority wish to give up their rights so a minority isn't offended? What about things that offend the majority?

Like it or not this country was founded on a Christian concept. Like it or not most of the founders prayed to God and believed in Jesus. Like it or not the intention was to keep government out of religion, not religion out of government. If you don't think this is true do some research about all of the founders of this country and discover what

People in the majority doesn't have any rights. People in the majority are never offended.

You have a main stream media who have annointed the two main parties presidential candidates before they should have. It is this same media that attempts to tell us what is right and what is wrong and what we should think.

It is the majorities inaction and not holding so called representives feet to the fire that has led to most of the problems in this country today. The problems that the majority would name.

How may companies that have a majority of Christians working for them have a Prayer Room For Christians? What kind of outrage would be displayed if an attempt was made to give Christians a Prayer Room? If it was allowed wouldn't that company also have to provide Prayer Rooms for other Religions?

You bet they would. Why is it that everyone has the right to have an opinion UNLESS you are a Christian? Everyone has a right to say what they believe in

We have to do more then just rant and rave. We have to vote and insist that the people we elect represent us. If not then we have to show them the door.

We can still do something to protect our freedom, but not forever can we wait. There will come a time when it will be too late to act. Let's not wait that long.

I emailed Tyson and asked them if they had in fact done this. This is there response:

Labor Day Reinstated as Paid Holiday at Shelbyville, TN, Plant
Tyson Foods Requested Change from Union

Springdale, Arkansas - August 8, 2008 - Tyson Foods, Inc. announced
today it has reached a new agreement with the Retail, Wholesale and
Department Store Union (RWDSU), an American union, reinstating Labor Day as
one of the designated paid holidays under the contract for covered employees
in the Shelbyville, Tennessee, plant.

Tyson made this request on behalf of its Shelbyville plant employees, some
of whom had expressed concern about the new contract provisions relative
to paid holidays. In an effort to be responsive, Tyson asked the union to
reopen the contract to address the holiday issue, and the union agreed to
do so. The union membership voted overwhelmingly Thursday to reinstate Labor
Day as one of the plant's paid holidays, while keeping Eid al-Fitr as an additional
paid holiday for this year only. This means that in 2008 only, Shelbyville employees
will have nine paid holidays.

For the remainder of the five-year contract period, the eight paid holidays will include:
New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day,
Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and a Personal Holiday, which could either be the employee's
birthday, Eid al-Fitr or another day requested and approved by their supervisor.

This issue concerns only the plant at Shelbyville, Tennessee. Labor Day has always been
celebrated, and continues to be, at the other 118 Tyson plants across the country.

The Shelbyville complex employs approximately 1,200 people. Approximately 1,000 workers are
covered by the RWDSU union agreement at that location.

There are NOT 700 somalians working in that plant. Hispanics are not the majority anymore either. Some of u need to slow down, find out real facts before u convict and ban Tyson products from ur home. My father has worked for Tyson over 40 years. I use to work for Tyson. This company has done more to employ people in this community than any other business in town. They have done more elsewhere in this community than any other business in Shelbyville. Judge not what u dont know!

Thank you so much for that reminder. It's even mentioned in our Pledge of Allegiance. "...and to the Republic for which it stands...." I believe are the words.....the United States of America are a republic with a democratic form of government.

I love your true democracy definition. I remember reading somewhere that true democracies do not last long.

Italked top a man last week who lives in Shelbyville and has 2 family members who work at the Tyson plant.

It was the Labor Unions that had this done, not Tyson. Tyson's hands were tied. The very labor unions that funnel millions to the Democrat and Socialists in this country were the ones behind this. not Tyson.

Even some level headed ones got in there about facts and slowing down.

Folks let us be thankful to our God, seriously who had Family prayer to our God in the name of his son Jesus Christ...This morning with our family before we left for the day? or Last night before we retired?

We did. Personally I'm scared not to have daily prayer with my Family, and keep a prayer in my heart through out the day.

If (and there was a time in my life when I didnt) ya did not have prayer with family....Daily prayer please start.

This Stuff is real and America will be destroyed as promised if we do not turn Back to our GOD, our Heavenly Father.

I've got the life and the fruit of my labors to prove my beliefs ...Do you.(Folks it a much better life..its good and blessed)

Family, God Bless you. People like you are not the ones we have to worry about voting the wrong way that will hurt this country. I am amzed every day at the people I meet and talk to over the net who claim to be a Christian then support the very political party that supports murdering children, same sex marriage, and a socialist, anti-God political belief.

These people who vote and believe that way are worse than any terrorist who ever flew a plane into a tower, or strapped a bomb to their chests and walked into a crowd.

What is sad is we have coonhunters, gunowners, and outdoorsmen in general who fall hook line and sinker for the political views fed to them by their Unions and skewed media outlets and they dont even have enough common sense top get the facts for themselves.
