2 Fords

I have a 1981 F-150 4x4 that I hunt out of within 2 hours of home. If I go farther than that I go in my 2001 F-150 SuperCrew(4 door) 4x4. The '81 has an old Mullins dog box. The '01 has a diamond tred Regal (I think it's a Regal any how) dog box.

Around home I hunt out of my 83 Chevy, 4X4, 3/4 ton, 3 speed manual tranny, 400 small block engine. She's rough to look at but has never left me setting on the side of the road at 3:00 am either.

For the trips out of town I use the 99 S-10 pickup.

Always have my Diamond Deluxe dog box in back or a chain across the back when the weather is good.

the RC mobile

Is an '82 Chevy S-10 with a whoppin' 2.8 liter V-6. Bolted to that power plant is a tri-colored assortment of quarter panels, bondo and rust.

This stack of monster metal is supported by four of the best tires money could buy. I found them hanging on fenceposts with the words, "keep out" and "no trespassing" written on them.

In the back is a chain strung across the box behind the cab with some snap locks. A big rubbermaid container with a jack, a can of fix-a-flat, and a four way for tire changing.

Of course, none of this would be complete without the fact that it has no muffler, or exhaust system for that matter. That is really handy when you are in, "stealth mode" going by some of that, "stay out" land I get my tires from.

Also in the back (and a bit in the front) is 225 dollars worth of Mt.Dew bottles and 6 pounds of sunflower seed hulls. From time to time I actually haul a coondog in it too!!!

Hey Red Cedar...

LOL!!!! Kinda like this....

Here is my one dog summertime method. Chained in the back. I put the box in their as the weather cools or if I go on longer trips or want to hunt more than one of the hounds.

My Mazda sounds like your S-10 with the rust, bondo, mud, no exhaust etc. LOL! The only difference is that instead of Mtn Dew bottles, my hounds bed down on a small fortune of RC Cola bottles.

GMC

GMC
I haul mine around in a 99 GMC Sierra extended cab 4X4 w/3 doors. I have a Summer box that is just one big box really. Kinda like the Fox hunters use. Can get 6 dogs in it with no problem. In the Winter I have the Country Boy with the Top Storage. Will take 4 dogs comfortably or 2 full grown Blood hounds.
Being in the steep hills here in Western NC where most roads are crushed stone you need the 4 Wheel drive. With all the rain we have had the 4X4 has really come in handy too.

Thats about it PWC!!!

Except that dog is a lot better looking than the mutts I haul. And I don't have one of those hi-falutin' bed liners!!!lol!

No offense intended PWC, but is that a B&T or a Plott? The picture is too glossy for me to be able to tell. Judging by the ear length, I'd guess B&T though.

red cedar...

He's a B&T 6 yrs old, mostly Wheeler and Judge breeding. He ain't much account, but I am partial to him

Something weird happened when I scanned that pic. Its got that kinda weird gloss effect.

Here he is out of the truck.
