House's Chief

This is coming from from someone that has hunted Red Dogs for over 35 years. Back in the 70's I had the pleasure to hunt with and against several pups right out of House's Chief and to this day I can still say. Those were the Hardest, Loudest tree dogs I have ever had the pleasure of hunting with. Folks talk about Loud tree dogs today. You should have hunted with a House's Chief pup.

Didn't mean to jump in on you post but I have the up most respect for Joe House and what he has done for his breed.

I am guessing you don't breed dogs to just put pups on the ground.... but.... if/when you have a litter I would be interested for sure!! I have a hard time finding what you are running....

I have hunted House bred hounds since 1980. I had a female out of a direct son of House's Chief. The dogs name was Bayouside Lucky. He is proably the best hound that I've ever hunted with. My females name was Bayouside Betty. I raised 2 litters of pups off her and got some very nice hounds out of her. I had a male pup that I bought and raised that I bred to Betty his name was Jargo. He was Betty's nephew. These 2 hounds made an excellent cross. I kept a pup out of the first litter that was a very nice hound I called him Tubbs. He took blicomitious and died @ 17 months old. This hound had the nose, the track abilty, and a tree dog deluxe. I kept and bred this line of hounds for years. I line bred these hounds for so many years, that the last one I had, imune system was not what it needed to be. JoJo was a coon dog that could trail a coon where other hounds could even smell them. I never bred him because of this problem. I got a pup from a friend of mine that her dad was a direct son of House's Lipper and her mom was out of Red River Goose. Her name is Comrade Creek's Midnight Posion. She is a 2 time Louisiana State Champion, she is a PKC bronze champion & a dual grand champion in UKC. I bred her to Fletcher's Stylish Jake and got a female pup I called Jade. Had all the same trailts that the Tubbs dog had. She was winning everything I took her too. She also caught blicomitious and died @ 18 months. I LOVE THE HOUSE BRED HOUNDS crossed with the SACKETT BRED HOUNDS is proably the best thing going today in my opinion.

Comrade Creek

thanks ,been wondering about the dog for awhile,..
i guess i could have sent his puppy papers in and got a ped on him but dad told me they(papers) dont tree nothing and he wasn't giving me money to waste a peace of paper..i still have them puppy papers ,,they didnt tree nothing but the dog shure could when i got him trained, hunted him by himself and he bought me my first sunburst light from the coonhides he got.
that sunburst sure made a difference over the carbide light and 7 cell i started with...

wonder what the cost would be to get a 3 gen.ped off his ukc numbers?
