When we have pregnant or nursing females we add Meat and Bone meal from the butcher in their food. It really helps get them eating faster after they have their puppies. And its good for them too. I also add eggs when I have them (I'm pretty poor..lol) But I am gonna invest in some hens so the dogs will have eggs and we will too! I've never tried giving my hounds veggies. My old Aussie loved Carrots...expecially when I dipped them in Ranch dressing..lol. Brocolli give dogs bad gas though..lol.

When I have pup we always give them a container of chicken livers a day to eat really helps the female produce the milk.

I would say if it was raw the possibilty would be there.....but
cooked would be ok.
