Magic webb, I dont think that #3 was the first one to pass 3 HTX tests. If I remember correctly there was another hound hunting out of the same club that beat him to it!

Now let's all get the story straight.

That club held 4 hunt tests over two weekends. There were at least three dogs that finished on the fourth night. So in reality, it was a three way tie for who finished first.

Webby is correct in his statement that #3 was the first to finish in three hunt tests....his owner was smart enough to leave him at home the night the one night when the weather was not fit for man nor beast...... and out of all of the hunt tests I think there was one coon treed, and it was after the hour hunt time had expired.....SO

Nobody can truly lay claim to being the "first"...it was a three way tie, and all three of those dogs finished without having suffered a "fault".....

Jay I'm not arguing with you......I"M AGREEING WITH YOU....

There were three dogs that finished the same night.....you did it in three nights, the other two did not get a coon treed the third hunt test we had....

None of the dogs that finished on the fourth night had any faults on any of the four hunt tests......

Ive hunted with Jay and his maniac dogs ever since I was a young boy. Jay may be a litle hard to get along with and may try to outsmart you in the woods but I do have to say he has coon dogs. There are some bad traits as there are in any dog, but for the most part Ive seen alot of good. Also it seems Jay has tried to change over the last couple years. Good luck to ya Jay.

you got it now man!!!! yeah 09 we will probably be seeing each other some in the hunts if you're gonna hold #4 till then,I've got a young dog coming my way,we will see how much work I get done with it this year to see if it will be able to be compete at a consistent level for 09,and just to let you know that I do like your hounds and how they hunt and can compete in the hunts,if I was ever to change over I would be knocking on your door.

If I was ever to make a crossbreed to use in another KC I would highly consider that MANIAC blood,but man those B&T guys can be cruel to those of us that would ever consider putting a little Holstein in our breed.LOL....
