I would like a close hunter, but they all go to medium hunting, or my medium hunter will tree deep. lol. Hard one to answer, some night's I get tree'd close, some night's half mile. and out of hearing the next time out. Depend's on how far they strike in. It very's every drop. Does that mean my dog's are a little close, to medium deep hunter's. LOL.

I want mine to hunt from the time they hit the woods untill they tree. If a dog strikes a track better be able to finish it if not dont open.

i like a med to wide hunter but would prefer a wide hunter but with all the traffic these days you have to watch. but i dont like a dog that pass up coon just to get deep.

for most parts dogs dont need to go a mile to tree a coon. With other dogs they seem to run alot before hunting. Medium hunter is by far my choice. But when you cast dogs its hard to tell where youll find them
