They had a coon while my old dog took another track and treed, she missed though. Next turn out they went almost out of hearing before opening. I though I heard the pup treeing so I drove around and walked in. The pup was not there but I shot the coon anway. drove back around and found the pup up the road from where I had turned out. He had gotten in front of a car and he never felt a thing. That is always the chance every time you turn loose.

Real sorry to hear that.

We ended up staying home last night....

Sorry to hear about the Pup...I lost a good one in the spring too the blacktop...I was out till 2 am last night,I Had a den on the first drop. Lost them for about 1 hour on the second drop found them under 2 coon on posted land and turned loose one more time got the 6 year old off the road on the other side and found the Pup about 1.5 miles the other way Stretching out peppy. I thought i wrote a new song on the way home but I heard it on the radio this morning(Confederat Railroad, trashy women) LOL With all the wind last night i only heard her open a time or 2 before she was out of hearing.Time to do some trash breaking.... Tonight was short and sweet, one drop with the old dog local small spot with the pup on the lead for about 45 mins .1 coon and 1 den...
