I guess we will just have to take Mr Vicks word for his guilt. He IS pleading guilty.

(here is the one thing we are all missing THERE IS NO PROFF THAT HE DID ANYTHING)


I do believe he plead guilty...thats proof enough..

And yes I am sure we have all had dogs that have needed to be put down...we have..but we never tortured them..either the vet did..or it was done the quick way. no hanging, no drowning no electricity.

Vick

When culling a dog what is more painful drowning or being beat in
the head or using lead? either way the dog is still dead. If I had to
I think I would choose the water. Hanging no way that is suffering
for sure. I also look at Vicks situation. What choice does he have
but to pead guilty when every one points a finger at him. Why is his name the only one that is making the head lines every day?
Why isn't head lines saying four dog fighters? It's like everything
is being blamed on Vick. Oh the price of fame. glad I am not well
known.

I remember when you could hit a dog fight or chicken fight within hours of my house.

Hell I remember partys when I was a kid when 2 rednecks got to braggin how tough there heeler or such was and before you knew it somebody said sic em Blue.

Everybody around here had a dog on the porch who would fight to the death with any other stray who happened around. They were called "watch dogs". We had 2 ourselves who ended more than one chicken killer or calve chasers hobby.

I never in my life saw 2 roosters who could stand each other for long in close company.

Now did we breed them or train them to fight? Nope. Did we ever encourage them too........................ If the neighbers dog finds himself in the pasture tomarrow, this little collie will show him the way out, and if they lock horns hes leavin or Ill have to find a shovel for her.

By the letter of the law, the minute I tell her to sic em, I guess I just did the same thing Vick did.


Dont get me wrong, Ive been to the pits when I was a kid. There brutal, and I find them distastfull. Especialy when gafs are used or its let go to the death.

Bottem line though, is Animal Rights activists are like a pack of wolves. They will keep picking off the weakest member of the herd untill were all gone. Go to the city and ask if theres a difference in a dog fight, a chicken fight, or ol Blue chewin on a coon tonight. You will be suprised on the answer you get.

When chicken fighting was outlawed in MO, every county except KC, St Louis, ect, voted to keep it legal. Those metropolis's won because there population was high enough to over ride the more rural ones. 50 years ago they couldnt have gotten it passed, 50 years from now, they might get the same results with hunting in general.

I do think he is guilty though.

Besides, if the NFL doesnt want him he can go to Canada, take a pay cut and win 10 championships in there J.V. league.

some people act like Vick is going to get life in prison.........

he will most likely get 18 months (if that much) & serve 75% of that (if any at all).... could get a $250,000 fine, but will be more like $25,000......

what is $250,000 or $25,000 to a man that makes $30,000,000 a year???????

this guy was throwing down $12,000 bets on dog fights and losing, didn't seem to hurt his back pocket to bad...... although that may explain why when his dogs lost he hung, choked, electrocuted, slammed and stomped them to death....

J. i see by your post that you don't think Vick did anything wrong.... i disagree with you.... if i read you correctly, in your world if they don't have the smoking gun then you're not guilty, right? doesnt matter how much other proof they have, right?

(set aside the actual dog fights) how does hanging, drowning, stomping, electrocuting and slamming dogs down on concrete until they are dead (just because they lost a fight) compare to 1 shot, knock 'em (already dead) before the dogs get a hold of em coon hunting......... for agruement sake i'll say you are right there is no difference...... simple solution, ban the taking of coon.... hunt w/ score cards only.. now R U happy?

im not about animal crielty AT ALL hears my thaugts on dog fighting 4 years ago i witnessed 2 pits maul a 6 year old boy one boy was able to get away when there mom tried to save her boy they attacked and scalped her she is paralyzed for life and the boy has 80 percent of his face permantly missing i was the one that got to go and try to talk the older boy out his closet in his home he was shaking and froze i wasnt able to get to where all this happaned in time i was working on a roof and it all happand in a matter of seconds buti was the ony one to see where the older boy went i also got to watch thr please shoot both dogs and one of the dogs it took 4 shots from a glock 9mm and the other 2 shots that was 3 police shooting in the mddle of town 2 weeks ago a i thni 8 yr old boy was killed buy there family pet pit and the grampa injured when he tried to save the boy read again i said FAMILY PET just the other day 2 pits went threw an old ladys doggie door and mauled and killed her in my eyes let em kill each other let vick do what he does i have no heart for any of em and i can gaurentee any of you that have seen a pit destoy a young boys life would wanna do all the things vick did

i have been to dog fights.the first few minutes were hard to swallow,but so was killing my first deer.it ain't my thing but these people are just as passionate about there business,yes,it's a business,AS people are about coonhunting.BIG MONEY IS INVOLVED WITH DOG FIGHTING.yall get google eyed at $4,000 a pup,that is common place top bloodline pits.prestige comes with winning.it is not nationally recognized,but in certain circles the heavy weights are known
everywhere in america there is a faction ,underground if you will,that bucks authority,thrives on sticking it to the man in there own way,micheal vick was going to fight dogs if he was a football star or not,the baddest dog on the block is a part of thug life.round here,everyone knows who has the gamest roosters and the best deer dogs,the cleanest shine...
he was pursuing what he enjoyed doing.would you have even heard about him if he was not a football player? with all the money he had and all the things he could do,he wanted to pit his dogs.
it does not bother me to walk a coon out of the tree with shorts and watch the dogs stretch it out. that is a felony.so is me hauling a game rooster across the state line. if i get caught,very few of you would ever hear about it. they are making an example out of micheal vick. he was doing what he enjoyed,be it the gamble or the fight.3 turned on him when the pressure was on,ever had that happen to ya
