Would he be forsale if he won the winter classic last week?

My grandpa dealt with horses for years, and he told me something I'll never forget. Top animals aren't sold, their bought..... So far in my life I have found that to be true.

There was a man that looked at Jet on Fri. nite that went on cast. Win or loose he was ,to answer your question for sale. Talked with Ed and he agreed to let him go. Thanks Danny G.

I think you have handled one of the best very well. You can always get another hound but a companion of 31 years is not replaceable. You always returned my pm in a timely matter. Not all owners of fine hounds like yours would take the time to answer questions of a no name like myself in such a classy manner...for that I am very greatful and I hope others will take lessons from you...Thanks again Mr Glista...and good luck...PS if my wife of 14 years would let me I would love to have Jet VIII but I think I'll take your lead and go for 31 year myself...LOL...Kyle

i have hunted with this dog twice and i believe he would make a fortune in pkc. this is the rare dog you could actually pay 25000 for and make money off him. ben brown

First of all, thanks for statement on 8 . Did you hunt with him or did you hunt against him in a hunt. If in a hunt, what did 8 do that would have made you make a statement as such. Thanks Danny G.

danny, i drew him with my cowboy dog down at the bluetick hunt in ohio. i believe he won grand both nights and scored about 2000+ points over the weekend. i make the statement because i had come in to the cast having won 5 of 6 purina casts in a row. i had a good measuring stick with me. 8 just showed us more coon in any way shape or form than any other dog could. cold trailed,laid up,popped up, whatever way. i know there was a rough dog in the cast. not mean ,just rough. 8 and cowboy got a chance to tree alone and they did well together. 8 could handle what ever was going on at the tree with whoever was there. cowboy had been rolled the weekend before and was tenative to get on the tree with others. being able to handle tough tree dogs should make him a good dog for making money in pkc. i dont think he would have a hard time making 40 to 50 grand in 2years in pkc. MOST DOGS WILL NEVER HAVE AS GOOD OF A NIGHT AS 8 HAS ON AN ORDINARY NIGHT. EVER

It's not a wonder Danny is getting out of hunting. I know there's other reasons but trashing my dogs all the time would really piss me off! I for one am very sick of listening to folks make fun of the Jet line. Good hounds. Not all of them, but the reproduction speaks for itself!

Sorry gonna have to call ya on this one. 8 will be at the zones in Indaina wether he's at Mr Meads or not. With the world hunt in his back yard hes not just going to be spectating!

Danny, I wish you the best in which ever route you take. I have kept up with your post, and you seem to be a real nice, everyday kind of guy, and that's the best kind. I have been hunting along time, and I do it for pleasure only.

If you are discouraged with it, you might want to back up and think about it again. You only pass this way once. I enjoy my hounds now more than I did 35 years ago. That's the only reason I have them.

Good luck in your future endeavors, and if I can ever help (even though we've never met) give me a holler.
