I tryed this on the pup that we have in the house & holy crap it worked. HE sat down & just looked at me. Then he chewed up my slippers the little _ _ _ _.

I've read his book, "Caesars Way", lots of good stuff in his book. Only thing i dont agree with him on and this is coming from his book. Is that if he deems a dog that is too aggressive to be around other dogs or people ever. He feels they shouldnt be put down but put in what he called kill shelters to just be housed there for life. I dont see the reason to keep such dogs around myself. But i do love the guys techniques. I've used them and they do work.

Well , first you have to start at home with the owner. Just like he does.
Be the boss. Be the dominant dog.
Take the dog out and find some deer. Walk the dog over the tracks and watch him. When he STARTS to get excited , stop him.
DON"T let him get to the point of being too excited to listen. Remember to stay calm. Don't panic or get excited. ( sound familiar ? )
It won't happen in one day. Just keep taking him out and run him through it till he don't get excited no more.

The young male I have right now , has never ran a deer. Checked them out once.
He has messed with about 3 possums. Never whipped him or yelled at him. Just told him " no , come on " and walked away. ( no leash )
Didn't kill the possum , or whip him with it , or anything. Just acted like I wasn't interested and walked away. And he seems to have lost interest in them.
I'm not gonna say he'll turn junk down if another dog starts it , although I did see him check a dog that was running a deer once.
But , I'm pretty confident that he won't mess with junk by himself. Confident enough that the last time I had him out , I turned him down a creek beside a cornfield with 3 deer standing in it and he went on past them and treed a coon without ever looking their way.
And , no , I'm nobody special and neither is my dog. I just learned along time ago that certain guys seem to have trashy dogs , and certain guys didn't. So , I watched and learned.
