i wish they looked alot more like the ones i judged at black and tan days, but i love to hunt.i think some people get off on replying to every post with something negitive to say no matter what the subject..and then other people like to jump in and stir the pot cause thier not smart enough to start it(not you).thanks for the compliment on my pics !!!

no, she was qualified & so was my other pup, but I hadn't planned on going. Then Chad offered to show Bandit after AO so I payed for him to go. Then he talked me into going. She was there, but did not show.

Robert, Cynthia's male is one good-looking dog! It would have been a tough choice to make between him and the male that won.

Cynthia - is that the same male that Chad showed at AO?

I absolutely agree.

One Blue male that has won a lot that looks like a hound should is Pop A Top Again, owned by Daniel and Amy Smith.

That is a good looking sucker if there ever was one, and he looks like a hound.

He has good bone and is muscled up like a quarter horse.

Unlike some show dogs, he has actually been hunted and will tree coon.

A knowledgeable hound man told me that the dog was maybe the fastest hound he ever saw on a running coon. Said he can fly.

Jerry Chapman...

I can assure you that some of the ones that you judged at Black and Tan Days (and put up) are started in the woods! So you can have it both ways...but I know that you already know that!!!

Congrats to everyone that won at the World Show...this was the second year that Felony won the Black and Tan breed and I am still on a high from it. It is so nice to see your hard work pay off! And yes, she looks like a hound and not a greyhound or whippet!

Amber when this race is over for you, you will have a nice blue "hound" to put out there for people to see. Of course he actually has angulation in the front so he might not do a thing. We will see, huh?

Congratulations girl. Where does this put you and Felony now?

Thanks so much Susan...I know that you know first hand how ruff this Purina Race thing can be (even though you were on the hunt side of it...it is all the same)! I was hoping to have that extremly nice blue ready for AO but of course with the Purina Race it did not work out, and yes he does has a correct front and looks like a "hound". I honestly think the word hound does not even begin to describe him, lol! Keep me posted on how he is doing in the woods!
We are tied after the World...looks like this race is starting to get interesting! We have four events left for the year and Felony will be at all of them. If she wins the overall or not I am still proud of her...that would be back to back breed wins for her. Plus this year she has overcame a 50 point deficit to be tied right now and we also missed 3 shows due to her being in heat!!! Guess if we would have decided to run this thing before the month of May we could have been sitting better but oh well! Like I said I am happy if she finishes first or second ;0)

As well you should be, how ever the end works out. I wish you luck and look forward to seeing you collect a check and plaque either way in January. He is doing great. He trees in the yard 3 nights ago with his dad. He is starting obedience class in 4 weeks. He will be ready for you when you are ready for him. The rest better just watch out.
