FELLA I never said nothing about her not being a coondog, she won the world hunt I think she is a coondog! If she is half coyote you cant call her a walker! FELLA! I hunt curs and cross breds, I dont call my bink dog a black and tan and he looks like one. Hes a 1/4 walker 1/4 Mtn cur and 1/2 B&Tan. I can tell you what breed he is A CROSSBRED THAT IS A COOOONDOOOOG!

coony, my point was that she met the standards for a walker no disrespect was intended towards you. She also meets the standard for a english. I dont know if it can be done anymore but alot afo dogs were single registered with a unknown pedigree just the names were made up. havent heard of it being done in a while. If you wanted to be dishonest you probably could single register yours as a black and tan if it met the breed standards, but I dont think you are dishonest, and I dont think the New Wld.Ch. is registered dishonestly either. my point was this she is a coon dog regardless of her papers I think I might have misread your post. my apologies

UKC does, has, and will agian, reg half bred dogs. Just take your dog to a breed inspector and tree a coon. If it meets the standards, its single reg. Happens all the time. You can look at the pedigrees of some of them and see they are cross bred. How else would you get House blood in an english dog? You just cant litter reg them if the parents are 2 different breeds.

Thats just one example. And he is a grntch and Ss stud. I dont know which ones are single reg. but theres some in there somewhere.

i was meaning that they dont register half breeds that are obvious to the eye. kind of like PKC does.

First of all congratulations to all the finalist and the winner.

Secondly, If all people want is a coondog then why, do you see it over and over and over ........... someone advertises a 3, 4, 5 year old coon dog and the first thing someone posts..... Can you post a picture and pedigree, How's she bred on the bottom. That's probably the two most asked questions on this board. I think looks and pedigree matters more to some than they are willing to admit.
But again congratulations to the winners.

P.S. If the winner was a single registered female, and she would have been put on this board for sale( BEFORE THE WORLD HUNT). He would have been offered, a used nite lite, a SS 13 month old cull puppy, a shock collar that don't work, a dog box (with a hole in it), or anything else except the thousands of $$$$$$$ 's she really worth now.

Some of you need to read the TWB&FA rules for single registration. I don't know if the Quick dog is single reg or not but I do know the the rules for single registration on a Walker requires a 3 generation pedigree. So the pedigree on the Quick dog is known, reguardless of whether she is perm reg or single reg.
One other point. UKC rules for single registration state that a dog who's puppy papers expire can be single reg without going through the breed association if certain conditions are met. Those conditions are basicly that the sire and dam were UKC reg and the sire owner and dam owner are known. So the Quick dog could be a purebred Treeing Walker who's owner simply neglected to perm reg on time.
Some of you are jumping to alot of conclusons with zero knowlege of what you are talking about.

Quick is as much walker as any reg walker. dont try to pick her apart because she is walker from nose to tail and doesnt care much for them so called circle trees!!!!

hmmm thats funny I hunted with a single registered Walker a month ago, he was � B&T and the rest was walker.

just speculation but

she was reg. as pr bred but do to dna testing it was? so the mother or the father could have had false papers put on one of them by some dog jock. so instead of her going back to finley river cheif 6 times maybe she goes back to johnsons banjo 12 times. dont really matter to me!!! she is foundation stock just like the single reg. wagners mr. quick

Didnt care much for those coon they treed behind her either.

The dog won because she was a faster strike dog. Thats it, nothing else. She treed 2 coon, Jane treed 2 coon. She had 3 out of 4 first strikes.

She won by 50. 25 more on strike on each coon than Jane.

Not to mention she has 4 years experence on her.
