ONE OF THE NICEST DOGS ISEEN THAT WAS AN ADVERTISED STUD DOG WAS MACK'S LITTL JOE, I HUNTED WITH HIM WHEN HE WAS YOUNG BEFORE HE WON THE AKC WORLD. I TOLD MIKE MCOMBER THAT NIGHT THAT THAT DOG COULD WIN A WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP AND HE DID A YEAR LATER. I BRED 5 TIMES TO THAT DOG. RAISE 3 GOOD LITTERS OFF LIPPER FEMALES.THE OTHER 2 WERE NOT GOOD CROSSES. I THINK OLD JOE WAS A DANDY WITH A BIG OLD HORN ON HIM.
...LEON CHILDERS HAS A DOG DOWN THERE CALLED GUNSMOKE AND HIS LITTERMATE BROTHER CALLED STRANGER. THEY ARE BOTH REAL NICE BIG MOUTH DOGS .

Some of the older hunters tell stories about Banjo II. They always talk about how loud and awesome of a tree dog he was.
