No, that's not possible otherwise there wouldn't be room for his head.

Ellie was out of Wild Clover (I could not have possibly hoped for better!) and a female off Lone Pine Chris via Strang's Sally. She was one of Mr. Strangs all time favorite females.

A one bark tree dog that would have a coon nearly 1oo% of the time. Big male mouth. Sounds like he did a lot of winning with her, and enjoyed her every time he took her out. She started running and treeing by herself at 6 months old!

They bred her to Minkler's Kanasas Dancer and there was only one female pup. The rest of the litter went on to be very good dogs, but none of them were put in the hunts to any extent. The female pup named Lone Pine DJ Dancer was put in one hunt, got a first place and never went back to town. She was bred to Tony's Wild Clover and that entire litter went on to make coondogs.

Well as a lover of clover/lone pine dogs and growing up where the dogs in the local club had names like "Lone Pine Jill" "Wild Clover" ect. I may have the heaviest bred clover dogs in the world. LOL I have some pups on the way that was a "mistake" I was gone on business and told my dad to keep an eye on my one young triple Wild Cassey bred female who is just starting to turn it on, she looked as though she was comming in heat. Well a week later when I got home I noticed my Old Nite champion dog who is her grandaddy and directly out of Cassey and Clavitts Hillbilly Misty was in the pen with her. (He is a super old dog made nite in 4 hunts by 13months old then I started my own business and he never got hunted for grand, last year at 11 he won a nite hunt with 12 other nite champion dogs in the hunt he treed two singles the other dogs on cast never even knew was there). She is directly out of one of his sons who is a grand nite. and is double casey bred. 1/2 brother to 1/2 sister.

Well I asked my dad why he was in there did he break a chain or something? No, just thought you might want a pup out of the old fellow before he is dead...... Well I think he got the job done will know more in a month...

So I will have some clover pups whose daddy is there great grand daddy and their grand dad is their 1/2 brother and cousin. Whew!!!! Sounds like a WV family reunion... (My Mom is from WV so I can tell WV jokes) As best I can tell just off the top of my head Wessels Wild Cassey will show up three times in the first 3 generations.....

Well they will either be good or total idiots and chances are they will be black headed and beautiful.

Forrest that is some old time dogs you got there bred up close. Mr. Magill was a old man 30 years ago when I was a kid, I also saw some one had some dogs on here with Frankie Nye's name on it. Does he still hunt?

Posted by Lone Pine JB on 06-29-2006 01:20 PM:

No, I don't think Frank hunts anymore.

That was probably my Rock dog that you saw Nye's name on. Nye's Sensational Frank was the paternal grandsire.

I know that Frank and Dennis Kennedy were partners Rock's dam, Slippery Rock Penny too. I got Rock from Dennis.

The Lone Pine Reana dog in the classifieds goes back to Nye's stuff as well. She's a half sister to my ol' Rocky. I also know of another NTCH littermate to Reana that's for sale. She's near Washington, PA.

I just got a pup out of Reana and Lone Pine Earl. Earl is a littermate to the Lone Pine Patsy dog that Randy Smith and Tom Strang own.

If

someone was to pour bleach over this ole dyed in the wool bluetick man and get him to change it would be Lone Pine stuff from Tom Strang. He and I have been friends since the early 70's. NO ONE will tell it like it is and tell 100% of the truth regardless than Tom... He has a deep respect and love of those Lone Pine dogs as did Blain Magill and Ole man Moore and as Lee Logan has... Lone Pine dogs have all the attributes that make Walker dogs the fine cooners that they are and possess a Bluetick cold nose with brains to use it... I don't know how many times in the dead cold of Jan and Feb. I've bumped into Tom or Terry Marth hunting in the worst of conditions running LP hounds when most would be home by the fire. These LP dogs are the real deal.. Those that hunt them, sorry I let the secret out !!!!! LOL !!!

Art JR-
I just saw some dogs the last week that could also possibly be the heaviest clover bred dogs alive.
My buddy Terry and I were up to no good, when he asked "Do you want to see a triple bred Casey dog? All in 3 generations?" Well we headed to a friend of his. There in the yard was typical heavy bred Casey dog, smaller built female all black & white and even add one of those goofy black & white ears. This female was out of Terry's Spyder female who is out of a 1/2 brother 1/2 sister cross, both sire & dam were out of Casey. Terry then bred Spyder back to Casey.
The guy also had some pups from the female running around the yard and both of them could give Oakridge's ugliest dogs a run for they're money. I should have taken pictures.

Shaffer, sent you a pm.

I'm sure Earl is a coon treeing machine. Dale wouldn't have him otherwise.

What female is your pup out of?

If I had a female and was looking to raise pups, I'd most likely go see Cowboy.
