As Reuben says, a BB gun light powered enough to just sting if it hits them is great to teach them to be quiet in the pen. Most of the time all I have to do is rattle the BB's. In my experience no bark collars tend to go off at inappropriate times. [/QUOTE Do you put goggles on the dog? D

No, you never shoot at their head. Like Reuben said, usually just hitting the fence is enough to send into their boxes.

Why do pent up dogs bark all day and strays don't?

After a few times to the rump all you to do is rattle the bbs or shoot something near…mine very seldom bark…usually a stern “no” is all that is needed and sometimes when I have to repeat the no a little too often then the reminder usually works…

I've posted this about 5 times. By far the best wat to stop barking is with a water hose. I got a solenoid valve from an old washing machine. Hooked it to a water supply and put a spray nozzle on the output. run an extension cord from the solenoid into your house. When he barks plug in the extension and it will spray the dog. In about 5 sprays when the solenoid clicks he'll be in his house before he gets wet.
