Congrats on the new coaching position. I have spent the better part of 10 years coaching High School Athletics. I agree with you that there is nothing more gratifying than mentoring young men. But, after returning to the timber I have realized that nothing replaces the satisfaction of training a young hound and watching it tree its first coon or tuning up a hound and winning a night hunt. The friends and memories of coaching and hunting hounds are lifelong. Enjoy the journey, make memories, and have fun.
