It is real nice to see some good guys working together to help a great old hound get some pups on the ground for all of us Bluetick fanciers. Too much is made of the bickering amongst houndsmen and I just want to make sure that you guys know how much your efforts are appreciated.

Driller thanks for the compliment. I think on the first page of my thread I stated that I hope hard work and persistence would pay off and breed a better Bluetick. All of us Bluetick guys have to put jealousy to the side and try to help the breed. I have certain things that I like in a hound and I don't care which strain of Bluetick it is if it can get me there!!

Logan will be here in Alabama for a couple more weeks. I just got the Dolly gyp back out of GrNtChPR Big Time Albert and a gyp out of Jaggs and NtChPR Seidlings Blue Star. Star is a mate to Drip. Trent Widner and myself will be partners on her. Sure wish she would come in before LOGAN leaves and she would be bred to him.

78 degrees here yesterday. I took the opportunity to give some dogs a bath. Logan enjoyed it!! Layed around in the sun afterwards.

Been Hunting my young female this week as the weather has started to get better. Still some snow in the woods but she has been looking good. Twice this week has split with the meat so far.

She may cross good on Logan or Banjo. Some of the same dogs and crosses go back in both pedigrees. Hope to keep her going.

Logan will be headed back to Wisconsin this week. I appreciate Scott and Rick for trusting me with him. I am glad we got some gyps bred to him and I appreciate the response we had to him in Alabama. He is 9 and won't be around forever. I have 3 male pups out of him here now and hopefully one of them can be the next stud at Southern Bluetick Kennels.

Just got off the phone with Rick Jordan and LOGAN will be staying here at Southern Bluetick Kennels for a few more weeks. Hopefully we can get another gyp or two bred to him before he leaves. Trent Widner and myself have been looking at studs for our Dolly gyp but if she comes in before LOGAN leaves, she will be bred to him.
