That good to see JJ, sounds like you have that pup coming on strong!!! She sounds like she is starting to make a pretty nice hound.

Doug talked to Nathan the other day and got the # of the place where you have dogs collected here in Urbana. So I'm going to check into that. Hopefully I can get him collected. Just in case!!

Cookie X Rambler Pups

Hey Tom,

Cookie had her pups today. She had 6 pups: 5 males and only 1 female.

Made me excited. I was getting depressed at first, becuase as I was checking the pups and counting them, I was on Pup number five and still no females? It was the very last pup that was the female made me very happy.

Cookie and all the pups are doing good. I will keep you updated.

Good to hear dwyane! That should be an outstanding cross!

Tom - Roxy split treed again tonite in a down pour with the meat. My buddy shot the other coon out about 100 yards away and she stayed at her tree til I got to her. Then she and other dogs went about 900 yards and treed with a triple in the downpour. She is a just a little version of Rambler!!!

Congradulations Dwayne , Happy to hear that Cookie and pups are doing well. Too bad you didn't get more females. I know how you like them. Hope all goes well with them. Thanks for selling me the female out of Banjo. I am really starting to like her. She reminds me so much of Scream when she was that age. Starting to get use to me and the new environment. Dwayne- That's good to hear. I was just wondering last night when Cookie was do. That's about a perfect sized litter. I sure I'm glad you got a female out of it. I'll bet you where sweating it after five straight males. We will have to get out sometime here soon, I would like to see them!!!

JJ- Sounds like your turning Roxy into a coon dog!! I look forward every morning to see if there is any news on her progress!! I would like to see her go sometime!! I thought when she just a little pup she had a real chance to make something. Thanks to you she's getting her chance!!!

Rich- It's sure is nice to hear from you again!! Give me a call anytime you want to get your new pup out. If that pup turns out anything like old Banjo you will have a dandy!!!

They are getting big. They have alot of color and huge heads on them. I lost the only female, she was the runt and wasnt strong enough. I tried to force nurse her but it didn't help. I have Cookies box covered and heated, it stays about 75 in there. Thats to bad I was really hoping for a female or two out of her. I may have to breed her one more time.

I'm sorry to hear your female died. I was hoping maybe she was going to pull through. When the weather breaks we will have to get after them a little!!

Rich - You are very welcome! I've got a couple more of old bubba that I found on the net. I think they are on the thread of Let's see those Late Nite Big Bubba dogs, but I will post them on the facebook page too. I never got to hunt with Bubba, but I have got two hunt two of his sons, Rambler and Beamer, both are really a lot of fun to unsnap!
