Thanks John and Ron.We're both doing ok and on the mend.Still got a ways to go with the leg but Dr. Says it's coming along and to be patient.He obviously doesn't realize coon season is coming up quick?? LOL

Might try and make it to the round-up but it will be to visit.Still on a crutch so I won't be competing but would enjoy coming out to visit for a few days and getting out of the house.

Might be a little longer that expected.Bad news from the Dr. this morning.Bone still isn't healing.Gotta go back in 6 weeks for another x-ray,if it hasn't gotten better they are going to go back in and remove the screws at my knee to allow compression on the bone to try and stimulate the bone growth.If that doesn't help they will have to remove the rod,replace it with another and start over from scratch......Not what I was hoping to hear this morning!!

Lost 3 of the pups the first few days but we still have 9 left.3 males and 6 females.They all have alot of color and seem to be doing well.Six is doing really good with them and seems like a good mother,a little protective of them but she's doing good.LOL

There will be a few females (prolly 3) for sale.$350,Super Staked,Performanced,will have their shots and worm free when picked up.I will need a $100 deposit before I'll hold them though,just give me a call if interested.

those should be nice pups. I've hunted with both hounds on several occasions and liked what I seen. both will get gone and get treed somewhere with the coon. both are were fine looking hounds to boot that you can hear in there a ways. best of luck with the pups.

Thanks guys.We all know that it's a crap shoot when breeding these dogs but I really liked both parents so hopefully they will cross well and produce what I'm looking for.I have been hunting this line of dogs for some time now and had very good results,hopefully these will be the same......time will tell.

All 9 and Baby Six are doing well so far.

Just got in from taking the Prodigy for a stroll.First drop he was trying to set up a tree but wouldn't settle on it and got down before I got to him.I seen a coon sitting in an oak where he was at but he just wouldn't commit on it and I don't like hissing a pup on a tree so I Loaded him up and took him down the road.I cut him across a short bean stubble field,about 100 yards to the woods.He made one bark when he got to the edge of the woods,ducked in about 15 yards and loaded up on another oak,stayed good,and had it.This pup will be 6 months old tomorrow and hasn't had 10 nights in the woods yet.He has a long ways to go but has been the easiest and most natural pup that I have ever fooled with.He seems to be progressing each night he goes.Like what I'm seeing so far out of him.

Ledgend and Star pups

Tom,I enjoyed chatting with you on the phone the other nite and it looks like Sparky and I have everything lined up to get these pups paid up in SS. I'm excited to get started with the 2 I have here. They have a visit with the vet today to get checked over and rabies shot to be given. Thanks for filling me in some on how Ledgend pups tend to start at an early age. I'm sure your info will be a big help and maybe in the near future,you'll have a chance at hunting one of these youngsters in the SS. These 2 male pups are really nice acting,clean in the kennel,big mouths and have a head full of brains. One can't ask for more than that before ya even get started hunting them in the timber! I'll let ya know how things are going at times and thanks again,Danny G.

PS!! It's about time Sparky got involved with the big boys!! LOL!!

I hope they work out for ya Danny and please keep me updated on their progress.Good females are the key to a male dogs success in the breeding pen.Legend has sired some nice pups but by no means can he take all the credit.I have been extremely fortunate to breed some nice females to him.Top females make all the difference in the world and those pups are definately out of a good gyp.Star has been here at the house several times and she has been the same everytime,she is a coon treeing huzzy.

Got home this afternoon from a great weekend with a bunch of ole Penn. coonhunters.Thanks again to Sparkey and the rest of the crew,it was a good little trip for myself and the Prodigy pup.I will definately be back next year.A great bunch of hunters,good food,and I really enjoyed visiting with everyone.
