Talk about blind. That's basically comparing them against themselves. Physically impossible to get o er 50% like that.

That's also including bottom tier teams like tn going against oregon.

A more pertinent comparison would be non conference record.

It would take to much time for me to comapre there non confrence record. Why would I want to comaper that anyway? Nearly ALL of the SEC's non confrence games are against the worst teams in college football.

Rip,,, I want a prediction as to who will win the Iron Bowl, The SEC championship and then who will be playing in the National Championship game.

The SEC has a loosing record against the BIG 10 in bowl games. The SEC is 0-2 against the MWAC.

Ummm sorry but you are gonna have to show me this losing record against the big 10. I call bs on that one. They have evened it up some since they started letting big 10 3rd place play sec 7th place but I still have serious doubts that the big 10 is even close to having a winning bowl record vs the sec. Heck osu alone os 0-10 against the sec maybe even 0-11 not sure on the exact number.

Georgia is explosive alright against the horrible Auburn Defense.

Me watch other teams? I watch teams from every confrence maybe you should do the same. Auburn is not going to the title game so better get used to it.

Watch this video, here's what will happen.

I don't need you're respect. If taking that bet and whooping ya will make you respect me then I would say someone needs to grow up.

Rip,,, I'm waiting of those predictions. How about you Matt what do you predict?

For the record, My favorite team is not a SEC team. Any football fan without blinders knows the SEC is one of if not the toughest conference in collage football.

National Champions- Last 10 Years

SEC-5
Big12-2
Big East-1
Big10-1
Pac10-1

Matt, come on with those predictions?????

Posted by Rip on 11-24-2010 04:17 PM:

I would say Auburn/Oregon for the NC right now.

Auburn has lots of distractions now, could be the thing that keeps them out. Not an Auburn fan, a team with a real strong defense can beat them. If anybody can Bama can, they usually do well against the run, which is what you have to stop first to beat any SEC team.

South Carolina has a good run defense, but their passing defense is suspect so if Auburn gets by Bama then I think they can beat South Carolina, but it is hard to beat any team twice in the same year. Doesn't happen often.

I have never said that Boisie wasn't any good. I have said that with their schedule you can't tell.

If they do get to the NC game they won't have earned their shot, they will have scheduled their way to an undefeated season. If you switched schedules with any SEC team except for maybe Vandy they would likely be undefeated with the Boise schedule and we know Ky/Tn/Old Miss etc aren't that good. That's the problem.

No different than a dog treein a turned loose coon. A pup that can't tree it's own coon in the wild can tree a turn loose coon. A nice coonhoud can too. Can't tell the difference based on that. That's where Boisie is now, can't tell the difference. They MAY be a good team, but they are just as likely to be that pup that can't tree a real live wild coon but look good on those cupcakes.

i dont make predictions because i do not know, if you every played ball you would know anyone can beat you on any given day.... but you know everything so i wanted to see if you had the confidence you portray to back it up, apparantly not!!! auburn could loose the next two, because they are playing two good football teams..... boise will not loose another game in their regular season, wonder why? i will say right now oregon and boise or tcu have the better chance to play for national title based on their remaining schedules and less chance for up set.... if i were to bet on the two teams making it to the big show i would put my money on oregon and tcu,

Come on now!!! Did you and a couple poker buddies come up with that lame
brain idea, that the BCS came about because the SEC was so good. That`s a good one!!

Hoosier Man 1, you know facts mean nothing to these SEC bed wetters!
It`s only their opinion that matters. I get sick of hearing how great this conference is and how they beat up on each other. We have two BCS
bowl games played right in their back yard,(Orange and Sugar). SEC, go
west and play USC in the colosium, or Wisconsin in December. Get out of
your comfort zone and play out of conference road games away from the south!

ALL TIME SEC HEAD TO HEAD VS OTHER CONFRENCES IN BOWL GAMES

SEC Wins vs. SEC Losses

WINS LOSSES TIES WINNING PERCENTAGE
ACC 33 15 0 .688
Big Ten 35 22 0 .614
Big 12 18 9 0 .667
Southwest 32 26 3 .549
Pac-10 7 7 0 .500
Big East 7 7 1 .500
Big 8 13 19 1 .409
WAC 5 3 0 .625

SO AS YOU CAN SEE THE SEC HAS THE BETTER RECORD AGAINST ANY CONFRENCE IN BOWL GAMES

SURE THAT'S AN EASY ONE. THEY TRAVELED THOUSANDS OF MILES AND BEAT V TECH AT FED EX FIELD IN FRONT OF 80,000 THOUSAND SCREAMING V TECH FANS. Is that a good enough road win?

Do you see anywhere I said the BCS came about because the SEC was good? I didn't.

What I said was, and go back and look if you need to, that they CHANGED HOW THEY SELECTED TEAMS because of that big run.

Before then bowl selections were tied to conference tie ins and matched teams closer together. For example champion vs champion, 2 vs2 etc etc etc. Sometimes it was like 2 vs 4 but they had a specific position of school that they had to take.

After than run they changed it and allowed more leeway so they could pick a "more competitive" game or a "better match up". This was big news then because it changed years of tradition.

That has allowed us to have those Big Ten 2 vs SEC 7 match ups that used to didn't happen. That allows for other teams to get snubbed, like a few years ago when Tennessee fell to the Cotton even though they finished 2nd in the SEC. Before this change it wasn't allowed, bowl X had to take the 2nd place SEC team. It's not that way any more. It was changed BEFORE the BCS, somewhere around 96 or so.

The articles at the time said the change was expressly because the bowls were boring, too many blow outs and not enough competitive games. That was right after the SEC had only lost 1 bowl game in either 2 or 3 years and was a big factor in why they changed it, per ESPN and the other sports outlets at the time.

Sorry if the truth hurts, but that's what happened.

There is not a single team in the country that can say they play as diverse and as big a non conference schedule than Tennessee. Last time I checked they are in the SEC.

Last time I checked Los Angeles, Miami, Syracuse, Oregon, Washington State, Columbus Ohio, South Bend Indiana are all out of the SEC "comfort zone" so I think you may be all wet on that one as well since that's just a few of the OOC games for Tennessee.

Speaking of "facts" notice that in fact the SEC has a very nice bowl win advantage over the Big 10 as opposed to a "losing record" as claimed by one of the SEC bashers LOL.

nope name another one. you know that v tech wasnt right and didnt play v tech ball there first 2 games. it dont say much about a team that got beat by george madison. if v tech played there entire season like they played the first 2 games there record would be 0-9 or 0-10.

i bet you cant name another cause they aint played anybody.

You're full of excuses Matt. How old are you? Twelve? So Boise traveling thousands of miles to Fed Ex Field and playing in front of 80 thousand Va Tech fans doesn't count because Tech didn't play Tech ball? Congrats you are officially ignorant. I guess Auburns OT win over a terrible Clemson shouldn't count either because they weren't ready. I'm willing to bet you don't have the first clue about college football or any sport for that matter.
