O I forgot to mention.....

It was in the 20's and there was about 3 to 4 inches of snow still on the ground. All of the scored coons came after 10:30. In that amount of time down here to tree 4 times and see coons, that you can see, in weather like that is real unusual. The other casts only saw one coon a piece.

From what Darin told me about her I figured before I even got her to the woods Kitty would make it fine. It's just funny to me how much she acts like one of the hounds I've had around for years. She fits right in and I think that is probably helping her in the woods to. She sure tries hard to do what I want her to do. Hey Dale we should turn em loose here before to long. I'm hoping in a few more hunts to have that NtCh title and then I'll be training her up some more before going for GrNtCh. So I'll need some good hounds to test her on.

Twister III

Hey Ed I sent his papers out a little bit ago. Found out that you have to permanently reg. pups now before UKC will DNA them. So I signed him over to your name and put the Twister III name on him. Papers and DNA proof that they are Twister's should be back before long. I also went ahead and DNA'd Daisy so the pups will be DNA-VIP. They are all doing great and growing like weeds. Once I get all the paperwork back and the weather is clear enough then I'll bring him and the one brother I'm selling up. Hopefully, this happens in the next few weeks. I tell ya what if you'll get Twister III going good then I'll bring him back down here and finish him for ya if ya like. This seems to be about the best litter I've raised so far and that's saying something. They all have things that give me alot of hope in what they may accomplish in years to come.

Yeah she's looking better all the time. Darin and Ron said the more you hunted her the better she does and I believe them now for sure. I'm sure glad to have this sister to yours over here in Arkansas. I tell you though I don't know if I would want to turn all of these hard going littermates loose together at one time.

good to hear. We will look to see you in the near future and hope you can stay a day or so. Maybe we can get in a hunt while you're here. We have plenty of room, so don't think about staying some where else, if you can.

Once I get things straightened out down here, with the winters ya'll have had guess you could send me one or two to hunt through the bad months for ya'll. I sure don't mind going to the hunts. Some things go on or happen I don't agree with for sure but then that happens anytime a big group of people get together. It makes up for it though on those good cast. The one this last week I couldn't have asked for any better fellas to be out there with, plan to hunt with some of those again.

My wife has a cousin of hers getting married this weekend. So it looks like we'll be going to that. Far as I'm concerned after last weekend the more snow the better for the hunts. There were still 3 or 4 cast but she looked right. Getting a third or better would be Great but it may have to wait until another weekend. Maybe next weekend. Got some RQE's around maybe she'll hit at one of those, get a third or better, and get qualified in the same night.

Wedding went well..

I got to see some of my friends from college. That was nice since I hadn't seen several of them since I left for Iraq in the middle of college and they all graduated before I got back. I'm sure ready to get back to hunting now though.

Hey Ed that sounds good to me. I like having a hound in the car when I'm driving. Gives me someone to talk to.

Took Daisy out for the first time in months

I turned her loose with Kitty. Daisy went in got struck, with Kitty to follow. The track kind of fell apart so they blew out got in there about a mile quick and had him on the run. I sent my buddy back to the truck and he met me on the road where we were able to get close enough to Daisy to call her in. Couldn't get Kitty to come back and she finally ended up treeing about 2 1/2 to 3 miles from where we turned them loose, with a big boar. After that another coonhunting friend of ours came by and spent the rest of our hunting time talking with him. Overall Daisy looked pretty good after sitting aorund that long. First time she didn't tree a coon in several hunts. She would have treed with Kitty though if I hadn't have caught her. They were working the same coon.

Friday or Saturday night will be best for us. Rosemary loves to hunt and those are the nights that she is off. Other-wise, give us a little notice in advance and she can put in for vacation or take some personal time off so she can go. We look forward to having you here.

Hunting

When I come up it'll be on the weekend. Got to be back here during the week to teach the kids. I don't trust anyone to be in here much other than myself. I can keep em focused and learning.
