That is quite a haul. I just wish I had a S.O. that would let me put that many coon in the freezer.

I cant help but notice the sad look on Abrams face...

If Abram was holding a bluetick on the end of his leash his frown would certainly be turned into a smile!

I couldn't help it, its been a while since someone has razzed you about blueticks.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments on the coon picture. Aubrey has had a nice training season this fall, hopefully the weather will cooperate and he will get some more time in yet this winter.

Scott, Steve, and Mike, BIG time bummer on the porcupine quills! Glad we don't have them around here, and hope we never do!

It was cold and moonlight last night, but Aubrey went out for a short while with Dice and Clyde. They split treed once (Clyde had a coon on the outside and Dice was 35 yards away with one in the rocks), and then they had a den tree, and put another in the rocks (Aubrey could see it's butt but too far back in to get). Here's a few pics:

Just having a little fun here in Wisconsin. I think our hunting is shut down for awhile! The snow is about knee deep around here, and temps are supposed to stay below freezing for awhile. I can't wait for that January thaw!......Aub and the dogs are waiting for it as well Here's a few pics of Aubrey snowblowing our driveway the other day after we got dumped on!

Scott, that is the problem with the long driveways.....but the pro is that it is far enough way from the road that puppies and kids are unlikely to get in trouble!

So, it's kinda cold up here (high in the 20s, so not too bad) and there is still plenty of snow (a little under a foot), so Aubrey hasn't been hunting OR working. This is what he does to pass the time

LOL... How about a BIT too? LOL... Being as SMALL as I am... I have had many a person attempt to buck me off... Not since my accident... since I'm weak now #1 but... #2 can't risk head injury...LOL... I used to LOVE to try to buck m son off when he was little too... brings back GREAT memories!

Took Tater and JJ out at 3;30 Wanted to try a day light start. I walked them in and when I got there. They had rotated crop to hay this year. Crap... So I cast them anyway.
Well a half hour goes by and nothing. So I walked into the direction I last saw them. Into the breeze. About a 1/2 mile later I hear JJ treed. They ended up on that island. So I head that way, then I heard Tater treeing with her while I stood on the river bank debating if I should cross. Step, pray, step, pray..LOL I get across then there was the 200' walk thru the water filled marsh bottom.
I get around to the other side and they didn't seem all to positive. But there were alot of tracks. There's a fresh water supply here. I tied them back and was about to give up, when I saw the eye. He was looking out the bottom of the hole. I squalled and he popped out the top and spun right back around and dove back in. That's all she wrote. Small one.
The river is safe. I walked back down it for the so called short cut. When will I learn. There are no woods short cuts!!!!! Got back to the Jeep at 8:30. BEAT. Legs where exhausted. Even the dogs were tired. They walked behind me thru the woods. Some how I got turned around once I came off the river. My compass in my head broke. Didn't realize it til I had walked way to far. So I back tracked to the river and figured out I was supposed to go left not right. DUH!!!!
Now that the rivers are safe. That opens up a big area for me. Four wheeler and trailer time. MMMM I think I'll build a box for the 4 wheeler...
