Hi,

Tooooooo many years ago to remember. Got old pics out and that dog isn't Chief. Tony still had black hair, lol. Chief was mostly blanketbacked on one side and kind of saddlebacked on the other. Chief was a longer bodied dog and had a bigger head than the one in the picture. This dog has weak feet. Went to Lead Hill one weekend to see him and drop off a female for Lonnie.

Chief II maybe? The computer I use at the library doesn't show pics, like old ads. Most of them have a red x in a red box. Can't open them.

Not Chief II, I put an ad up on him also because have been told it was him. The ONLY thing I know for sure is Lonnie is showing him and he is a good looking old hound. I have asked Junior Lasseter if he knew what dog it is but he hasn't gotten back to me on it.

Studying Lonnie in the picture trying to determine his age. At one time, he was raising pups with Jack Anderson, Quilla West, Keith and Shannon Palmer. Maybe one from those crosses. You've got me. I'm drawing a blank.

I put my Finley River Female in her second htx hunt last night. She passed both of them. Last night the hunting conditions were way less than ideal, but she pulled it out.

And did US figure out why there is so much MORE tree sight seeing going on? If I just wanted to look at empty trees it seems like it would be easier to get to them in the day time. Seeing real live coon eyes in 5 or 6 out of 10 trees doesn't seem like a very good average, yet some seem to be okay with that percentage.

If these old dog's are out dated WHY is it that 12 of the 20 female's booked for breeding have the same dog's in them that was named in the other thread ???

Have you ever turned your dog up a ditch, woods, etc. and it didn't open or tree a coon during Jan or Feb? Ever take a Finley River dog and turn it back in after you put your dog up in Jan or Feb?

Hello again all you crazy coonhunters!! I have to be honest, I haven't been on this forum in probably 4 years. I have taken a more demanding job, lost both of my parents and slowly gotten out of coonhunting. I guess a cold, boring night has gotten me searching deep in the web and I come across this. So I guess Im just wondering what all is new in the coonhunting world? Whos the hot stud dogs of the day? I got to admit I sure miss it, someday I will be back.... thanx in advance!
