I GOT LAZY FOR A FEW DAYS, AND, I HAD A LOT GOING ON. ITS BEEN A LOT HAPPENIN ON THIS POST SINCE IVE BEEN OFF , AND I NEVER DREAMED IT WOULD HAVE TOOK OFF LIKE THIS. JUst had a litter of 12. 3/4 leopads 1/4 walker. Expected, but not today. Took a dog behind the house tonight that hadn't been turned loose since March 1. He followed me to a ditch and I sent him on. He was only gone 5 minutes. Walked to a deer corn pile my kids have - nothing. Walked on toward a flashboard riser he was 100 feet ahead. I saw him get excited and trot a little circle but didn't open, threw his head up and did another little circle and fell treed. You know how that is when there is a tree with no running but I have no reason to doubt him. There was a half grown coon on the end of the limb. Reached for my cell phone to get a picture, had forgot it. Realized I had forgot the tracking collar too, even though it didn't look like I was going to need it. Led him off the tree by the collar about ten steps and he followed me back home. All in 37 minutes from when I posted someting and when I got back on. That's the same woods he always followed me around in when he was a pup. I don't think he thought we were hunting. I hope anyway.

Looks like we had another AWOL turn up. Welcome back l.lyle! Sorry I miss-spelled your name a few times back there. I guess it was close enough for gov't work though.

Still one or two unaccounted for -- for what-ever reason, but seems they are hittin the other threads so there's no serious problem I hope. Gained a few new ones recently so we are doing OK.

It's been a trip! I have loved the rhetoric.

Hope I haven't irritated anybody too much.

I've said before I really like the Pittsburg side. Don't know anything about the Philly side other than the airport. I just went to have a good time. They liked my accent, the bar and grill crowd. I liked listening to them. Alot of them seem to belong to a Union but alot of them don't, but none of them seemed to like it very much was my drift.

Of Course, I had better sense than say something stupid like the opposite of "that's not how we did it up north". I'm pretty certain they could care less about how it's done in the south than we did the true Yankees. About 15 years ago was the start of the housing boom around here and alot of northerners were buying and building. Alot of the contractors and the workmen started putting on bumper stickers that said "Frankly, I don't give a D--- how you did it up North". Really, it was innocent enough because the contractors had to conform to the Southern Building Code whether even the contractors liked it or not. But other people tried to read more into it than was really there. One county tried to ban the sticker. Soon enough they came up with another bumper sticker that said " Make Welfare as Hard to get as a Building Permit." The county hated that one too.

I'd like to visit around there again.

A few weekends back our so called president really ticked me off by swiming in the gulf with one of his kids for the media and all to see. He said he wanted to show america how clean and safe it was. Who does he think he's fooling? As far as our accent goes i had a english teacher back in school that could not speak english and tried to correct me from time to time because i have such a thick southern draw and i was not going to change for her or anybody for that matter.

Ya'll have opened one of my favorite cans of fun. I'm not always politcally correct so I hope everybody takes this with some humor. I am. You are. He, She or it is. Remenber that? The way we say it makes it sound like a three syllable four letter word. My Uncle from North Carolina told me I had a "cute" accent when I was a kid. Kinda ticked me off 'cause he was the same uncle my granddaddy asked if he had "remembered to turn the rooster around" on what my daddy thought was the grits barrel. Then again, NC didn't elect Obama, they elected a liberal Democrat and that's all that mattered. They have that pubic triangle of education up there in NC. Virginia has that spill over corner from Washington for people who depend on Big Government. That's what did that. Maybe ya'll could 'cede that corner over to DC. LOL. I never have been able to speak Charlestonese. It sounds like they're talking through their nose with a mouthful of rocks. Then there are a good many south Georgians tryin to get high fallooting and use the er instead of ah. Sounds pretty good 'till they say they are going to Savanner or Auguster;(almost forgot Atlanter), then they bin caught.
Then we got Geetchie and Gullah and Ebonics. They are spending millions of dollars trying to preserve the Gullah Dialect. Now if you want to laugh till you cry, go to a meeting where someone with a Doctorate in dialects shows off speaking it to educate the public of it's value. Dangdest Brooklin Gullah I ever heard. I could and probably will go on but I gotta feed up now.
