Dean bought Polly from Roy and then bred her back to Dodger II. I had one of those pups also.... I sold him to a friend. He started real early.....

Blood

It would depend on what you were crossing it on... Heavy Vaughn, heavy Bragg, or something simular wouls work good. The Gambler dog should cross good on that blood.

I know Mr. Doolittle well, he's came up and bought a few hounds from me, over the years. I agree with you about Preacher. He was one of the best looking hounds of the breed, in my opinion. Him and Magic both. I was wrong about them being littermates. Magic was a litter or two younger, I believe.
I never got to hunt with Magic, but many, including Jess, said that he was one of the fastest track dogs they ever hunted with. He, apparently, caught about as many coon on the ground as he treed. Jerry Bowen, in Batesville, AR, has heavy Magic blood in his hounds.

Had to post this up. Bout makes me cry every time I see it. I got a chace to take titan down to ar state hunt and Miss emilie got to see titan again. Its rough on me to see her when I leave with titan or when she leaves. Cause she always going over to him and pettin him and playin with him. I cant wait till this litter hits the ground cause she will be gettin a surprise.

Thank you Mr. Ken I love that pic. Darrel named titan after his grand daughter and his wifes favorate football team. Mr. Bowen and I took a trip to Marshall, Texas this past weekend. I got to hear about his hounds, that are in this female's pedigree. You'll be glad to know, they were made coon dogs, before they were used as breeding stock! He was really bragging on a male Mr. Reggie Barber owns from this litter (Hi Reggie).
