I'm looking forward to bringing him up & showing him to you Tom. He's not nearly as nice as a lot of them you read about on this fine message board, but he's not too bad for an ole blue dog! All I know is his momma & daddy are some coon treeing rascals & come from families of reproducing coon treeing blue haired potlickers. With any luck, ole Tommy may be able to tree some of these woodlot coons with some regularity in the near future & for some years to come!

Unfortunately,Bluetick Days is prolly gonna be a wash for me this year.Still trying to get some answers on my leg and scheduling a probe on my knee to have it repaired.Between that and my mother having some serious health issues right now I just can't get away.With everything going on around here and no end in sight I have decided to sale Matt Turner one of the nicest young dogs that I've had in a while.Good luck with Bandit Matt,I'm sure he'll make something special with a little time and experience but I just don't have the time or ability to hunt an old dog right now,let alone a pup.He's a really nice 10 month old pup and I'm sure he will finish out to a solid hound for ya.

When you get healed up i 'm hoping you'll have time to take Bandit back and finish him.
I've been taking him, walked in at daylite this morning.Bandit acts so much like Tree Daddy its crazy.
Doubled up on Tree Daddy and a few more awesome crosses I'm excited About getting him he has all the tools for a good one.

Had a good hunt last night off of the 4 wheeler with Matt Turner with Kid and Baby Six.We treed a few litters and both looked pretty good.

Today I got a visit from Billy Kooser.He brought a female over to breed to Kid and we got the chance to visit while he was here.It was great to see him again as always.

Have a Dr's appointment on Monday and it looks like I'm gonna need another surgery on my leg.The femur bone is healing but I'm still having some problems and they're thinking there is some damage to my knee also so they're gonna have to do some work on it in the next few weeks.Hopefully this will get me fixed up and going.I'm looking forward to putting these crutches up in the cubby and I hope I never have to see them again when this is over.It's been a rough year but could of definately been worse.Thank You to everyone for the calls and your prayers.

The Surgery scheduled for next Thursday.The sooner the better and I'll be glad to get it over with.Hoping to be back up and going for the big Autumn Oaks weekend get together.As of now it is still a go and I'll keep everyone posted as it gets closer.

Tom and Legend.

Tom brought Legend to knock the dust off him.he looked Awesome and sounded great running and that dying long locate on the trees.It was good hearing him again.for the guys who hasnt hunted with him he is one of my favorites.
I brought kid for Tom has problems getting around and we needed the hounds to handle.we made two splits and two trees together.Kid and Legend made it to what we call the party woods.about 20 campers/RV`s and untelling how many people got to listen to Legend and Kid run and tree.I can say a priceless moment and I can say I`m proud of these two hounds both coming out of my yard and the leg work Tom had commited in getting them to this point.it was nice to get them out for another hunt together.I think they enjoyed working together and getting out of the retirement home to say.

Thanks Tom for another good hunt and for bringing Legend back up always fun getting to hear him do his stuff.

The surgery seemed to go well today.Found a torn meniscus and repaired that but other than that the knee joint looked good.Hopefully the femur bone will finish healing up soon and things will get back to normal.Really pleased with how things went today.Finally,a little good news and some light at the end of the tunnel.

Now that is what I call some good news .......... even if it is coming from an ole Darke County outlaw! LOL Get healed up old buddy, we need another hard hunter chasing around after one of these ole blue haired potlicking hounds!

On a side note, my youngster is hanging in there. I guess they say he's not all the way out of the woods yet, but all things considered they are very pleased so far with his recovery. If I am lucky enough for him to pull through I will be looking forward to hearing him bump around after some of these woodlot coons again.

Thank you Tom. The youngster is getting a little stronger every day. I had to move him back out with his other blue haired partners in crime last night. Little fella was getting to be a handful indoors & that incision has healed up & sealed enough to not have to worry about the flies. He was happy as a lark to be back in his kennel. Working on slowly but surely getting his insides back to normal & getting some weight back on. I'm looking forward to when he is ready to turn loose in these old woodlots again. I kinda miss listening to the sound of the little fella coming on the wood. I'm looking forward to bringing him up for you to see him go.

Rode along with Matt Turner last night to Portland Indiana trying to get the last win on Kid.I listened from the passenger seat but it sure sounded good.All of the dogs looked really good and it was an all out shoot out the whole night.Kid got split towards the end of the cast alone on a big oak but they found theirs and not his and that cost him.He looked as good as a dog could of looked but it was just the breaks.I hope Matt goes ahead and finishes him to Dual Grand.He just needs one more win and the way he's been looking,I'm sure it won't take much to get it.Thanks for taking me along last night Matt,it was a good time as always.
