What am I smokin? More like what are you smokin? You're trying to make a case as to how mighty the SEC is by refrencing the 2 worst teams in the confrence? Do you honestly think that those two would beat V Tech or a healthy Oregon State? Please, football gurus tell me where Boise is weak? Where do they struggle? Where could they improve? When you look at a team that looks good ask yourself those questions. What about Auburn ?

what about auburn. they must be doing something right. they have played 4 top 25 teams and won. the next 2 games are top 25 teams. boise state is weak in there schedule. any good team will look great with there schedule. give it a rest

There are about 10 college football teams that would be undefeated if they didn't have any tough road games. I can't wait to hear all the excuses when Auburn looses two games straight.

What is so tough about Auburn's road game with Alabama tickets are split 50-50 and so is the sec championship game and by the way Bryant Denny stadium is known here in the south as Jordan- Hare west

Maybe, but there's about 25 college football teams that would be undefeated with Boise's schedule.

Like I said, even the worst SEC team would prolly win the conference if they traded places with Boise.

Heck many Div II teams would win that conference if they traded with Boise. That's why Boise is changing conferences.

Boise is treein coons by themselves turned loose in a field and you are comparing them to a GrNt that won with real coon in the trees against GrNt competition in wild public huntin

Tickets aren't split 50-50 with the Iron Bowl. It is a home game for Alabama when in Tuscaloosa, just like it is a home game for cow U when it is in auburn.

Keep dreaming Matt. Auburn will loose but they better keep it close. If they get blown out that will hurt there chance of going to the title game. If Boise slaughters Nevada and Auburn looses by 17 or more to Bama there done. I really am willing to bet with anyone that Auburn will loose two games straight?

On the other side even IF they do win out it will be stripped from them. Everyone knows they as well as Newton is guilty. These types of investigations take time. The truth will come out and when it does Auburn will be looking for another confrence. Hey, maye they can join the WAC.

I'll go $20 that auburn doesn't lose 2 straight. Bama will beat them I think but they won't lose to USCe.

Fairly and Newton should both have been ejected from the Ga/Auburn game. For poking in the eyes and trying to seriousy injure and then grinning about it on national TV. I don't blame Ga for trying to beat the punk out of 90. It was not about being sore losers. I hope BAMA whoops their arrogant behinds BAD! . ROLL TIDE!

would you explain to me how you think Auburn will lose two straight games is it because they are playing another mighty defense that is just number one in the sec have you forgot that they took the number six defense in the nation to the wood shed and when they slowed newton down it opened up the passing game and the outside running game so when they tried to stop that it put newton back in the game and they couldn't stop him people seem to forget that Alabama is not the team from last year when Auburn almost beat them every week Auburn has to listen to how good somebody is but no one has stepped up to the plate yet

BOISE STATE "They got all the pieces, I mean they really do. I think the truth of the matter is people are scared to play them," Fresno State coach Pat Hill said. "They don't want to play them. It's like last year when they put Boise against TCU. They don't want to play against those types of teams. I'll say it. I have no problem saying it. I'll take Boise State against anybody in the country."

Fresno State coach Pat Hill made his national bones by taking on anyone, anywhere, anytime. In 14 seasons, Hill and the Bulldogs have hit the road and won at Colorado and Wisconsin, Washington and UCLA. They've lost at Ohio State and Oklahoma and Tennessee. The point is, Hill knows a "BCS program" when he sees one.

On Friday night, Hill suffered the worst loss of his head-coaching career.

Fresno State came into the game averaging 35 points a game and over 400 yards of total offense. They ended up with 125 and 48 came on the last drive. Do you folks think that Boise is not going to take it to WHOEVER they play?

Anyone read what kirk herbstreit had to say? he said Boise was the best team in the Nation in Offense, defense, and sepcial teams and they are the best coached.

Clyde, my bet is Auburn WILL NOT be playing in the National Championship. BET?

kirk also said at the beginning of the season that alabama would repeat as national champions where are they now

All those guys are required to give their oppinion. Most said Alabama would repeat. They got to play a cake walk sorry Texas team. They should have played Boise or TCU. Then it would have been a game. To projest a National Champion at the beggining of the year is just luck. One thing however is that MANY said Boise would go un defeated again. How's that for a prediction?

BCS championship game.

[B]Look Tennessee is awful this year BUT if they played Boise's schedule they may actually be undefeated.

Part of the reason they haven't earned it is the week in week out grind, losing players to injury, and having to play a tough game more often than not. Teams in real conferences have to do that, Boise does not. Can they beat any team on any given day? Sure any team can but there are Div II teams that would have a winning record and may only have 1-2 losses if they played in Bosie's conference. Matter of fact their conference strength would go UP if a few DivII teams joined them.

The SEC was so dominant in the bowls when they were playing close matched opponents (SEC 2nd place team against Big 10 champ etc) that they only lost one game in two years (heck maybe three it was in the 90s and it was some large number of wins vs losses).

Wow....I thought the Big 10 Champ always played in the Rose Bowl
against the Pac-10! Should have checked with RIP

I agree dbpro. These SEC people think that if a team is not from the SEC confrence it's no account. I got news for you all there is NO SEC team this year worth hanging youre tongue about.

I will put it in simple terms. If Auburn gets by without playing Boise then they have NOT played the best team in the country. This BCS IS ALL CRAP. We all know it. Its who you are as a program and where you're located. Its not about the best team year in and year out.
