Good morning gang. It was 21 this morning with about 3 inches of snow on the ground. It is 48 and the snow is all gone. It was a beautiful night for hunting.

Rob - any luck?

Our gun season starts Monday.

Hi All!

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Prayers to All!

Had a decent Thanksgiving. Nice and quiet. Roast came out Good! Veggies were good, taters were good and..... MY Pecan Pie was AWESOME! lol... If I do say so myself...but Bob said so first.... He texted me from his aunts and siad it was AWESOME! Mum Cass and I had a nice quiet visit and Bob and the boys had a great time at his aunts. Then I got LUCKY and Brandon decided to stay at Mums Sat night and do her dinner Sat night and Breakfast Sun am so I got the weekend off! Mum had nice time with him, they stayed up late listening to music. I did NOTHING till today but watch movies with my hubby.. and today we burned yucky wood and brush and did some chipping etc... and when Bob had to leave to help a friend move... I got to man the fires... We used fire barrells. When the fires got low it felt colder than the 50s...and eventually as they REALLY died I realized I was in the shade...LOL... so I hosed it down and went inside a frozen lil lump. Then we watched the Pats play a poor but close game and now we're watching James Boned movies with our friend, Ben... lol... and the fire is roaring in here and I'm a smoky smelling WARM lump!
NICE pix...but that SNOW...Yuck! We also had a little but most gone now!

Dan keep a eye out for Lyndell he is out their bear hunting he is back to the retired life retired from Tech again and gave up coaching football so he back to being a full time hunter of course when I talked to him last night he was out breaking the law coon hunting on Sunday he said its legal I told him he had better go back and read the law again

Dan ya don't think Price is out busting the brush ah me either lol well me and Linkous took a round tonight probably walked 2 miles or better and dang it was hot first drop I wore my jacket it was way to hot temperature in the mid sixties bugs flying around your light like the summer time next drop I left it in the truck and hunted in my t shirt it was still hot hard to believe it's December especially after the cold and snow last week but before we got home it was already raining and down to 45

Good afternoon everyone.
Been really busy around here. Was off work last week so I deer hunted during the day and attempted to coon hunt at night. Ended up with 3 deer and Justin killed one. so about 2 more will tied me over till next year. Trying to do some canning this year.
Up till mid week had pretty good luck treeing coons. Then seemed like they all went into hiding. I have not been hitting a lick lately.
Think I will need this week to rest up.lol. Not as young as I once was.
Heading up next Monday and Tuesday to give the ole blackies a run with Shawn Abshire. Hope we at least tree a couple.
Well back to work.

Corky no luck first track dogs kinda went the wrong way caught em in the hard top in front of a house second drop dogs went deep we got within about 600 hundred yards of them they were half way treeing but knowing the country and how steep and rough it was and considering at this point it was straight down we just toned em out and called it quiets
