Took a hunt tonight with Max Jr., Max Sr., Kody, Dan and Corey. Hounds we took were Indy II, Sledge, Hanna and Dozer. We made four trees, two dens, one blank and one with a coon on the outside and being the only small tree all night, go figure! First dump they treed at about 650 yards and others were about another 400 yards further in, both big dens. Second dump they treed at about 875 yards with the meat. Third dump they treed in some rough stuff at about 825 yards but it was blank! Ran some good fast tracks and got to see some good work! Thanks for the hunt guys and we will be back! We really wanted to see how Hanna handled the trip and strange hounds and after going it was well worth it. I thought overall she did pretty darn good, the old hounds tried to wear her down! LOL!

What did you take, we need more info? We hunted Pockets last night and made three trees, one den, one coon and one should have been! LOL! First time the old girl has been out for a good while since we have been hunting the young ones.

Took Hanna, Riptide and Jerry's Blaze pup tonight. First drop Hanna and Riptide went from one county road to another, crossed and struck a good hot track and slammed it. Drove around to them and it was a den, started squalling and banging the tree and the coon was going up and down, could see it thru a hole in the side of the tree. Second dump Hanna struck about 830 yards and they ran one for all it was worth. Ended up in another den and he was home, in the bottom of a old den tree. Tried to get a picture of the coon but didn't get it in the picture. We at least had two good tracks before the ran came in.

Oh yes he is in there!!

good hunt tonight thanks for letting me and Blaze tag along. I have heard some are wondering about Hanna, let me say this she has a big motor ,and a hard spit em out treedog. When you unsnap her she gets gone, opens good on track, nice locate and again a hard tree dog. keep her cranking Mark and Corey

Jerry we will get Blaze out some more once the weather opens up again, pretty tough on the young ones right now in trying to get them some good tracks close by, seems everything is in there deep. Hanna does have heart and desire, just a few bugs to work out and she will be there. Hope she holds off on coming in heat until then. Maybe our trip to Kansas will slow her down, hope them hounds of Roy's are not hard on her! LOL!

Boy now here is a topic I have a hard time dealing with right now friends. You see hounds / pups with little of no bedding and no shelter or little if any. If a person can not shelter a hound/ feed that hound and clean up after that hound why not let someone that will or put them out of their misery. As cold as it has been you should have plenty of feed / water and wind break off their pens / houses and they have plenty of bedding. You would be surprised what you would see if you would drive around and just look. Well enough on this as the more I think about it the madder I get!

Well we are getting closer to getting a pen ready to raise some pups in. Have to raise it up a little and close it in some but almost there. We have others pens with concrete floors and a roof over it but needed one with a larger heated box for the pups, it is wired for electric heater with thermostat. Corey things I went a little over board! Wanted something that could be heated and plenty of room for the bitch and pups. It is 4 feet front to back, 5 feet long and right at 4 feet high that opens from the back. We also have a running pen for them once they are weaned that is right at 20 feet wide and 25 feet long with box inside a building. May help keeping the noise down huh? Poor boys way of doing things when you live in town!

Will get some pictures after tonight. Hooking up with Roy / Timmy and one other, not sure his name. Hope to see Robin, Ralph and Deal and who else they may bring. One thing I bet is it they will get gone and get treed! Talk later Jerry! oh and get the whelping pen wired for the heater and let me tell you the heater works! Hope its not long for Pockets!

Well Roy / Timmy and Joe showed Corey and myself some good young hounds. Took Deal, Dee which is Deals litter mate and Hanna. Made (5) trees and seen a total of (8) coons and two dens so overall at this time of the year I would say we had a hell of a hunt. Dumped Deal and Dee one dump and they did a nice job together and let me tell you they sounded good! Not a bad night when 2 of the dogs just being 17 months old and the other being almost a yr old. I want to thank Roy and his wife on doing an outstanding job raising the Jet V pup for us.

Sorry we couldn't work out hunting another night.
Hanna is going to impress a lot of people when you hit the hunts.
She is deadly accurate and sure enough a tree dog. I love her mouth and she isn't going to out run it. Beautiful change over too.
Keep me updated on little V Again he will be a blast to work with. He's smart as a whip and personality plus.

Roy we could say thanks a 100 times but once more, thanks for what you and your family did means a lot to us. It was hard to find a female as good as Wendy along with one outstanding pedigree. We owe and hope to help you collect in the near future! Those pups out of Old Smoke will get it done and in a hurry! Great hunt and tell Joe I still need a set of those legs he has! LOL!

Took Hanna tonight by herself. 1st dup got in there about 450 yards and treed in the ground where a tree was uprooted. 2nd dump she hit around 200 yards and tapped a few trees and took it out of thee and exploded on a tree and had it. 3rd dump hanna hit and the next thing we heard was alarms and sirens saying to step away the autoritys have been called. We have hunted there all our life and never heard it so we caught hanna and called it a night.

Man what has been going around in our area has finally got to me. Have a bad respiratory virus and feel like crap. Went to the doctor for some antibiotics and hope to shake this of before the season runs out! Still finding a way to work with the little one as each day counts!

What is this might stuff? LOL! Goal is to put some real nice breed pups out there that can and will get hunted by hard hunters and ones that believe! You sure don't get rich doing it is the only down fall! Positive side is we might get more like this!
