Just heard from Rick that Belle is having her pups out of Logan down in Alabama. 3rd Time cross that has produced some nice ones.

LOGAN

Talked to a guy last night that has a gyp out of GrNtCh PR Big time Albert and a gyp out of Hornet. She is bred similar to the Belle gyp that is Cotton's momma. Going to try to get her bred to Logan when she comes in heat. She is due in at any time. She is a good little gyp and has her 1st in UKC. She is dark blue with good head and ear. Hopefully we can get it done. Darren

LOGAN PUPS

Have had a ton of calls on Logan pups. With the bad luck I had with my litter and the demand for the Logan x Bell pups, there just wasn't many to go around. I have talked to two guys with good gyp that are planning on beeding to LOGAN as soon as they come in heat. I owned one of the females for a while and hunted with the other most of her life. Both are good looking, hard , clean tree dogs. One female is out of GrNtCh PR Big Time Albert and has her 1st place win. The other gyp is out of GrChNtCh PR Drip's Southern Blue Duece. Lots of older Uchtman blood will be in both of these crosses. Hopefully all will work out and there will be some more pups down south to go around out of LOGAN. LOGAN is 9 yrs old and may not be around too many more years. I will keep ya'll updated!! Darren

Logan x Cami 10 month pup

I would like to know more about Cami and Logan. More so about Cami Her traits, her style. I'm pretty excited about working with this pup we just got out of that cross. She's crazy over a coon. I love her build and looks. Any history or back ground info on the cross and why it was made twice will be great!!! I like to learn and do my research.

Cami is getting up in age but we plan on making another cross or two with her in the future. She goes hunting good and has always been an independent and accurate dog. Super nice no jacking or chewing on the tree. The cross was made twice with the recommendation of one of the owners of a pup out of the first cross. The Logan pups have always done best in the hands of hunters. They generally start early and progress for years and just keep getting better as they get older. Good luck with her and thanks for the inquiry on the breeding.

Reply. And yea I've been a die hard packers fan for 20 years. Got to go to my first home game this year against. They beat the falcons. It was one of the best things I've ever experienced. I consider myself a good handler and good hunter. If a hound has it in them I WILL GIVE THEM THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THEIR ABILITIES TO COME OUT OF THEM.

I love everything about her so far. Her build, her head and ears, her mouth, her feet, her manors. I can't wait to get her in the woods she is crazy over a coon. I really think a few nights in the woods with out a pup trainer and she will be going. She worked a drag I made like it wasn't nothing.

Is the type of hound we have been looking for. If we makes the cut I will be doing a lot of research on crossing her with the best stud with the traits and looks I desire. Could be the beginning of something special for me if she finishes out into a "GOOD EN"

Jessie was out of Bogie and a Helfly Bros KC daughter if I remember right. It was a real good cross that produced 7 males. One fella bought 2 and just started hunting them and they knew what they were born to be.
I had tried to buy Jessie but the guy would never sell her to me. I think it was the only time she had pups.

We have two females lined up to breed to Logan.

(Pr Southern Blue Dixie) Her pedigree contains lot's of reproducers.

GrChNtCh Pr Drip's Southern Blue Duece, GrNtChGrCh Pr Washburn Valley Drip, GrNtChCh Pr Uchtman's So Blue Hornet ,GrNtCh Pr Uchtmans So Blue Scout, GrNtCh Pr Uchtman's So Blue Hawk.

I have hunted with Dixie since she was a pup. Early starting gyp that treed her first coon alone at 7 mths old. Dixie is a hard chop mouth, clean tree dog that will hold pressure. She should be in heat in February. Her weakness is her mouth. She is not real loud on the ground but is better on the tree. She struggles with a bad track.

( Pr Southern Blue Hardwood Dolly ) UKC 1st place win

Dolly is out of GrNtCh PR Big Time Albert.
Albert is out of GrNtChGrCh PR Uchtmans Blue Albert III
Her pedigree is loaded with the Albert dogs. She also has Jaggs on bottom as well as Hornet. Moody Creek Jammer is in there on Alberts side as well.

Dolly has an average mouth and is a hard chop mouth , clean tree dog as well. I owned Dolly for a couple years and seen her do some good work. She hunts out good and is a good track dog. Dolly started early and will tree her own coon. Her weakness is she has big ears. She will sometimes quit her track to go back a dog that is treed. She will not check the tree at all and just blows up on it treed.

Both of these gyps are good looking females with good head and ear. Both have their faults but I believe Logan will help strengthen those faults. Both crosses will be heavy with older Uchtman blood. I will keep you updated on the crosses. Darren

Been a rough time around here raising pups. Belle is down to 6 pups I think. Hopefully things will work out to get these other gyps bred and have a couple litters out of Logan before he goes back up north.

Logan added another NtCh last night. Billy article finished Plug to NtCh. Plug is a littermate brother to Cotton. Y'all better get ya some of ole Logan before it's too late. Darren

Thanks for the update on the Logan pup. Logan should be hitting the reproducers list this Spring. He does not have 100 pups on the ground as of yet but is real close. When I look at the number of quality pups out of Logan that have not or will not be put in the hunts it is a little discouraging. I understand why some guys shy away from the hunts or don't care about them. The Logan pups just keep getting better with age if kept in the woods. Thanks to all of those who have put time into the pups through the years. Logan will be down in Alabama until April or May and then he will be back up in Wisconsin.

I just drove to Natural Bridge , AL and picked up Southern Blue Dixie from Trent Widner. I have hunted with Dixie since she was a pup and helped train her with Matt Smith. Dixie is a HARD , classy up on the wood tree dog. No chewing and no jumping, just spitting them out. She is in heat today so we will be getting her bred to Logan in a few days. Dixie is out of GrChNtCh PR Drip's Southern Blue Duece. Her mom is out of GrChNtCh PR Sandbergs Double Bock with a ton of Sandbergs breeding as well as Sparetime Spanky. Should be some nice pups. Darren
